A very welcoming pub.. a good atmosphere.
The food was excellent, especially the beef and chicken burgers , quite simply the best we've eaten.. you must try them...

I absolutely love coming to the Woolpack Inn and whenever I have family visiting from abroad this is always the first place I bring them especially for the Sunday Roast!
Today I brought my sister to try out the turkey and beef duo and she loved it! It came nice and hot from the kitchen!
I’ve been coming to the Woolpack for years now and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming! Would recommend it to anyone!

Outstanding food in a very busy city centre pub. Open for breakfast and all day for food and drinks. Plenty of screens for the sport fans. Car park is very small but plenty of other options are not too far away. Staff are welcoming and the facilities are clean. A short walk from the shops and visitor attractions.

Regulars in here but I was a bit dissapointed with my fish and chips yesterday..... fish was quite small and the peas were gritty......🤮. Better in spoons. Pls do better as we like the woolly

An excellent pub with really good service. The staff always have a smile and nothing is too much.

Enjoyed playing darts and eating here, the only let down which I will say is quite a significant one is the parking situation. The first two times I did not spot the signs as they are not clear and obvious, despite the owner insisting there is lots of signs (which there is to be fair) most people in the reviews including myself did not notice them. Nor did any of the people I took to the pub. In all honesty from what I can see is damaging your reputation, please move the meter to the front of the car park with a sign saying pay and display above so it is obvious.
I am now awaiting two tickets which will need to be rescinded.
I will still continue to use the pub as they do offer £3 off the parking which isn’t enough sometimes as I like playing darts for a while and now I know the parking situation and understand its reasons have no problem with it other than it not being clear and obvious despite the many attempts at making it such.

Great pub! Come here often to drink and catch up with friends. Emilly and Josh are very friendly and cheerful. Lovely service and great selection of drinks. Highly recommend :)

Brilliant pub. Good,tasty and cheap food. Jolly bar staff and attentive table service. Well done girls, I can see why this pub is busy at lunchtimes -you deserve to be - excellent. Good chice of beers, too.

Just popped in and we all had the Sunday Roast beef/turkey duo, delicious! Succulent Turkey, tasty roasters, cauliflower cheese, gravy, Yorkshire, carrots and peas, a good sized dinner, good value £13.29. Great service and a very nice, decorative pub, lovely atmosphere.
