Harris + Hoole

I didn't actually have a hot drink, I decided that the chocolate milkshake was a good idea, and I was right! It was creamy and delicious. They had some new coffee advertised, especially from Ethiopia, but to of my friends who are actually from Ethiopia tried it, and that received a thumbs down from them. It's a lovely little shop, quite open and modern design. Love the fact that they also cater for children and babies. They had lots of toys. The butter croissant was very tasty. Be advised that it's a dog friendly coffee shop, so if your apprehensive about pets, maybe order your coffee to go. We literally had someone's dog sit on our feet, and take up residence under our table for most our croissant eating time. Most people kept their dogs to themselves though. If you do have pets, they offer water and a feeding station for your dog. I would recommend more comfortable chairs, as I think they may have been donated from my old primary school. They looked and felt exactly the same, but I would go back. Nice atmosphere.

Lovely dog friendly coffee place by the river (no river view). Not my favourite of the venues under this franchise hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. Good coffee and the opportunity to purchase coffee beans as well. The snacks/food are more hit and miss. It’s quite a large space and can accommodates group of walkers for instance easily.

Good atmosphere, mix of tables, sofas and armchairs. Very dog friendly. Selection of hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, muffins and croissants and coffee and tea. The best part is the staff, incredibly patient and attentive. The wait for a drink can be a little longer than in some other places, but it's worth it.
