Had a chat with will the manager. He is a wonderful guy very friendly and helpful. First time me and my wife have come here and will definitely come back again on our travels.
The share with friends was an amazing dish so compliments to the chef.

Had a fantastic lunch on Saturday, 10 of us and all the food came out at the same time, the manager could not do enough for us. The food was excellent as was the service, would definitely recommend.

Came here for lunch and the food was nice! They barely had any food as they were shut for the last 2 days and had to throw everything away but wasn’t made aware of this until we’d already decided what we wanted, additionally it took longer than I’d expected for them to make 2 toasties when it was fairly empty and considering the fact they didn’t have much food. Aside from this I have no complaints about the meal but they could have a few more options on the menu as it’s quite a basic menu so it doesn’t excite me so much to return

when I went to the bear and ragged staff with some friends, staff were lovely and polite and chatted to us enthusiastically. Food and drinks were very good and one of the staff members ( Sam) was polite and friendly with us and was happy to answer questions and help us have the most enjoyable experience there

I dealt with the staff member called Patrick. He was professional and very well educated on all the beers and wines.
Would defiantly recommend my family to go here especially with the service I received. I am not from the town and it looks like a top quality Great British Pub.
Big Thankyou to Patrick as well hopefully he will be the manager soon as possible.

Came with a few friends to play pool and was greeted with a friendly smile by William. Pool table was free and we spent a good few hours playing with the staff interacting with us and adding to the experience! 5* experience

We came here on Saturday evening. Not being from the area we popped in for a drink and something to eat. We were told unfortunately the kitchen had closed at 7pm. We still had a drink, but we were hungry so tried finding somewhere else. My husband asked behind the bar if they knew anywhere near we could eat, cut a long story short, they re opened the kitchen to make 2 more meals. Which both meals were lovely.
Thank you so much to the chef who made the meals. It was extremely appreciated. (I really want the cheese sauce recipe 🙂)

I went to the Bear & Ragged Staff for a meal with my friend and we were delighted with the quality of the food and the service. We were served by Bobby, a very charming young man who we had a lovely conversation with. Definitely recommend!!

I have eaten here several times and it has been good, but just had the best cooked dinner in a pub ever. If that was three times the price in a Michelin stars restaurant I would not complained. Everything was cooked perfectly.
