The Bobbin Mill

I have a couple of reviews of the Bobbin over the years. We dine regularly and have been coming in since it was built. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal in all that time. Yes there are times when something may just not be cooked to our liking but nevertheless the food is always good. One point on our recent visit on 1st November was we found out they have started letting dogs in. Quite simple in my eyes, wherever there is food dogs should not be allowed especially wet dogs as they give off terrible smell which is not very hygienic. I think they need to have a rethink on the dog policy. Luckily on our visit there were no dogs but as my wife is allergic to them if we call for a meal in future and dogs are in we will have to go elsewhere which after all these years would be sad. Please rethink.

My wife and I visited on a Friday evening for a meal as a last minute decision... Although we hadn't booked we managed to get a table quickly, and the food arrived quiddity after ordering. There are some special deals depending on what night out is so lol put for the blackboard with details. Food was nice but no real ale available, just lager. Easy to find and easy car parking available.

Really enjoyed ourselves here. Had been meaning to go for some time and was not disappointed. 7 of us came including 3kids. Really clean inside, well looked after for sure. We booked a table (albeit it was a quiet Sunday afternoon), but we booked about 15mins before we got there and theyd already seen the booking and placed 'reserved' signs out for us. Impressed! Staff were really friendly. Food was spot on and they have a decent range of drinks. Will be back for sure - thanks!!!

My wife had an appointment at the nearby hospital. We do not live locally, so decided to grab lunch before driving home. It was fairly quiet when we arrived, but more customers were arriving. I ordered 2 soft drinks, as I was driving, but I will comment that I was shocked by the price, since Beers would probably have been cheaper! We ordered 2 meals, which were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was served very quickly, and was excellent. I was very impressed with my 'Surf &Turf', every element of the meal was perfectly cooked from the Steak (rare), the Scampi, even right down to the humble Peas! This stood out, because how often is this the case, even when dining at expensive restaurants? We finished our drinks outside, as my Wife wanted a smoke. There were plenty of picnic style benches, all very clean and made from recycled plastic, in a well tended garden area. Until very recently we owned dogs (sadly passed away), but I was impressed with the bowls and Keg of fresh water made available for dogs - especially welcome in the warm weather! If we are in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to return. Definitely the best bar meal we've had recently, so good it prompted me to take a card on my way out to submit this review!

Our time at bobbin Mill was brilliant. The staff were very helpful. Food was brought out fast and all at the same time for a meal of 13 people for my daughters birthday. The kids enjoyed it and there was all the stuff we needed accessible like High chair etc. They brought a cake out for my daughter and we sang happy birthday they was lovely and so nice. Drinks were all there that you could of thought off and were made fast. They have a lovely fresh pizza part that makes fresh and amazing pizza. Highly recommend
