Ordered kung pao chicken. The delivery is pretty fast and I could enjoy the food hot. The taste is veryy yumm. The sauce has perfect amount of sweet n sour taste and the chicken is very well cooked. Didn't like chuncky ginger pieces in them. Nevertheless the taste is very nice and didnt get bored till the last spoon of it. Loved it! P.s: only negative is packaging. Plastic packaging. When they pour such a hot food in plastic container the bpa is not at all good for health. Considering the packaging it is not so good to order frequently.

Ordered veg steamed dumplings for starters. For main course Hakkah noodles and paneer chilly gravy. The sauce which came with dumplings was great and the dumplings were spectacular. Quantity of hakkah noodles was generous and the taste was exquisite. Paneer was great too. Loved the whole experience.

The delivery was awful. Everything was fitted into one bag and the sauces weren't tamper proof. The sauces were everywhere in the one bag which had all the food and sauces in it. The food was delivered in plastic containers which weren't the right size for the food so it was all squished into one. Mediocre delivery, not ordering again

Visited this Outlet a while back where they serve some delicious meals. They have been running for years and have been visiting quite frequently. Recommended dish would be chicken spinach. Ordered their Dae Vil’s chicken, Thai chicken curry, egg Thai fried rice and Chicken Thai fried rice. The delivery arrived quicker than promised and the food was ordered fresh and hot. The chicken Thai fried rice was spicy and flavorful, made a great combo when complimented with the delicious thai green curry. Will order again soon.

Was happy that the order arrived so quickly but then realised the food wasn't fresh, very old and just reheated. This used to be the best Chinese not sure why it has changed so much. The Crispy Spinach Chicken was old and mushy and very very spicy. Ordered it many times in the past and it never tasted like that before, perhaps the spice is to hide the bad taste. Shame to have this experience and even though i've ordered so many times before, this experience has put me off for life.

I have ordered chicken schezwan noodles. It didnt have chicken in it. I told them in instructions don't put cabbage in it but they have put cabbage instead of chicken 🤬. It looks like i am eating veg noodles. Its very tasteless. Very angry on their service and food quality

So I ordered chicken crispy spinach. And honestly, it is the worst thing I have eaten this month and I ate a burnt home made chicken made by my young brother this week. The chicken tasted horrible like it was chicken gone bad, which was cooked to get rid of stock and sauce smelt bad. I just threw that away. I got diarrhea after just having 4 bites. It was that bad. They used to he really good until last year, but the 3- 4 times that i have ordered in the past 6 months, it has been disappointing. Never ordering from them again.

The soup has no taste at all. Not hot, not sour. It even lacks salt. Ok it is hot (as in hot/cold).. disappointing. 👎🏼 The chicken in the crispy spinach chicken looks it was prepared 3 days ago and someone cancelled the order. Its cold and mushy. Obvious that it was not cooked today. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 why your food has gone horribly bad?? No wonder delivery came so quick.

They have great chinese and indian dishes to try and they will absolutely impress you . 🍳We ordered some of their items as shown in the pictures . This is a small cost place with great atmosphere. The Schezwan noodles were delicious with generous amount of veggies. The chilly paneer was mouth watering! Paneer was fresh and the spices smelled heavenly. Will visit again for sure!

We were very disappointed with the food, specially the chiefs soup and chicken lollipops. The lollipops felt stale and undercooked, tasted like batter. Looks like someone didn’t want to cook today. The noodles had so much salt. We couldn’t eat it.

I’m actually sad why I didn’t discover this place earlier. Their food is 10/10. I tried Tom tum soup and manchow soup both were made to perfection. Dumplings were super amazing and fresh! Chicken and beef both tasted well and were cooked to perfection. It’s a very family oriented place with amazing atmosphere.its a must visit.

Been wanting to try this place after getting a lot of recommendations. Worth every fil. We tried their famous crispy chicken spinach and it was soo delicious! We also had a plate of schezwan fried rice along with king pao chicken. Both were great and the portion sizes were large enough for two of us to have and even take the rest back home.

To start with – I like the name of Restaurant – “The Monk”; it is quite unique and creative name. I order the food via Zomato delivery service and delivery boy was very helpful and in proper uniform. As I was alone; I order the food for 1 person but surely it was good enough for couple or 3 people. Many Thanks to generous portion offer by Monk Team (seems you are not controlling cost as rest of world working hard now days :-)) . Vegetable Monk Special Soup was great, I find bit salty but still acceptable taste. In main course; Vegetable Fried Rice was nice and fresh and surely good for 2 pax. The best item was Vegetable Manchurian; I never had Manchurian like this before. Well-done! Chef. Price point of view and it is good value for money keeping in mind the portion size. It is great treat for Chinese food lovers. Must try!

Good place if you are looking for a decent ambience to have a quiet dinner. The staff are courteous and well behaved. I liked the chicken manchow soup, kung pao chicken and schezwan fried rice. But the veg starter I ordered was not that great. The portion size of the main course is good enough to serve 3 people with an average appetite. Overall the place is good and I will visit again to try other dishes.

Sad thing, I never got the chance to try their Peking duck dish, 'cause I heard so many good thing about this item. It looks really yummy and per my friends, it is literally delicious. Heavenly!  Take note everything is available at affordable prices, very budget friendly. So far, so good. Follow me on insta @odiya_uae_foodie ... The Monk – An authentic place for Chinese food in DSO. And being a pioneer of indo-chinese food for so long this restaurant doesn’t need much of an introduction; the monks has covered it all – from sigaporean noodles, to thai red curry and the mangolian pot at it's best ❤ . The ambience of this restaurant was great. The interior of the restaurant was nice and simple with the colour schemes of red and black matching their theme and giving the impact of Chinese . The service that we received here was amazing and received positive attitudes from our servers. The food was quick to come, so I was happy about that. The portion sizes here were big enough to share between the two of us, and I enjoyed the flavours and seasoning on each dish. We started with : Manchow soup which was just perfect to start the dinner, and by add their own house soy and red paste enhance the flavor perfectly. The prawns crispy with spinach were obviously the attraction of the dinner, large prawns that came marinated with a decent tasting sauce, it was subtle and delicious. Fish-Tshing-Hai was a good one, stir fried "creamy dory" slices in chilly-garlic sauces with celery. I enjoyed my seafood mongalian pot noodles quite a bit. The noodles were the medium thick kind, and it comes spicy. The portion size of the seafood was great, but I had mostly prawns. For the price of this dish, the amount of seafood was not bad at all. Highly recommending the restaurant this place to all the Chinese food lovers! They have 3 branches in Dubai, checkout the nearest one. Thanks to the "The monk" team for such an amazing experience, see you guys soon.

It was bright hot and sunny day when I went to the monk in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Craving for some Chinese/Asian food, we decided to dine in the Monk. It was definitely a great decision. I loved their food. They gave justice to the chinese taste that I am craving. What I loved most is their chicken lollipop and tempura. This is a must try in their restaurant. They have many viands to choose from and all taste great for me. For the servings, they made sure that their customers would be full. I think per dish can be eaten by 2-4 persons which really made it a good deal considering the taste and price of the food. Their staff were really accommodating making sure that we got everything we need. Kudos to them! I would recommend this to my friends and would definitely come back and visit their other branches too. Looking forward to try more from their menu.

Visited the restaurant for late lunch/early dinner and ordered crispy peking duck,stir fried tenderloin with basil,chicken wooly,pan choy vegetable and mongolian pot noodle. The food was great, however i missed to try their crispy chicken spinach, which means i’ll be coming back to try more of their food on the menu. The food was served quicker than expected by their friendly and accomodating staff. You can never go wrong with Indochinese cuisine most especially in a good restaurant like The Monk Silicon Oasis branch.

So here’s what we ordered and their rating: Pad Thai: 5⭐️ unlike any other Pad Thai in Dubai this is not too sour. Tempura Prawns: 5 ⭐️ we love the breading plus the freshness of the Prawn. Pecking Duck: 5⭐️ this is fab guys! Make sure to order this whenever you visit any of their Branches. Mixed Steam Dim-sum: 5⭐️ they serve this with Chicken, Prawn & Vegetable dim-sum. Seafood with Mushroom & Bamboo Shoots: 5⭐️ the sauce is the key! Yummm! Anjan, the restaurant supervisor was a star! He is very accommodating, over all they have a great team! Monk serves good quality Chinese food. It is one of my favorite places to have Chinese. I love their dumplings however they don’t give the authentic dumpling dips but still they are super soft. Also they have great gravy like chili and garlic with veggies which is my favorite with fried rice. They serve decent amount of food so don’t order at one go. They are moderately priced however they do run some offers on some credit cards which you can check by calling in advance to make sure you take that card if you have.

Great place in the heart of DSO for Indo-Chinese food. It has a soothing aroma of Chinese food as soon as you enter. We ordered their signature Crispy Chicken and Spinach which was a lovely combination of mouthwatering chicken and crispy spinach. Being a fan of Crispy Shredded Lamb, we ordered the same and were highly impressed. Since both these dishes were dry, we opted for Shantung Fried Rice...aromatic fried rice topped with diced chicken and mushrooms in a mild gravy. Amazing food. The closing time on Zomato is 11.30pm but they stopped customers from entering as early as 10.50pm. We were lucky enough to get in by 10.30pm.

It is often difficult to find a restaurant that serves good, affordable authentic Chinese dishes and The Monk is a real gem that we're glad we found! Crispy Peking duck is something I would love to eat as often as I can (if only my pocket permits)! At The Monk, they serve the tastiest, crispiest Peking Duck complete with veggies, totilla bread and dipping sauce (good enough for 3 persons I think) for only 55 dhs (so yes, imagine my astonishment)! Their Shantung rice (I'm Filipino, it isn't a proper meal without rice!) was unforgettably delicious I kept wanting for more. Again, it was served in a big bowl that's more than enough for 2-3 people (so yes, at this time I wish I had more tummy space). The staff may seem initially shy and quiet but they were in fact very helpful and accomodating once we started placing the orders. I highly recommend this to Chinese food lovers and if the scorching heat keeps you from going out, you know the drill. Order through Zomato.

Everytime i visit this place I make sure to order fried spinach chicken from the starters. That is my all time favorite dish from the Monk. A must try for all! I order chicken/egg fried rice to go with the started and love it! Their ambiance is pretty good and so is the service. It’s a little too dim inside but adds on to the ambiance.

This is the place we used to come to post university or for our lunch breaks. Food(4.5/5) The chicken spinach 😍😍😍 so so so God damn yummy and crunchy I can't even tell you guys . It's a must have. The noodles are always great. The dim sums are so juicy and so good. Ambience (4/5) Love the seating, the interiors. The only issue, since its a place thats loved by eveyrone its always packed. Gotta wait in line to get a seat at times. But y'all mark my words its worth it ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

The food here always tastes great and we try and stick to our regular favourites. We ordered for their famous crispy chicken with spinach. I have never tasted spinach cooked like this before and it complements the chicken really well. We also tried their spicy crabmeat soup for the first time but it wasn't spicy at all and we had to add a range of sauces to this ourselves before it tasted good enough for our liking. We also had the shantung rice which comes with gravy. Good service and value for money.

One of the best indo Chinese joints I have been to in Dubai. Their chicken Shanghai fried rice steals the show coupled with their chicken wooly!!!.... It's a yummer!!!

The Thai Green curry did not come with rice, which was very surprising. Also, the Thai green curry had very little flavour. The som tum didn’t have any peanuts or tomatoes, which is not a normal som tum. I would however, recommend the chicken and sweet corn soup.

Our family love this consistent restaurant. They always live up to their expectations with the quality of food. The only grey area for them is order handling, and I presume it’s only because they are always too busy with orders ... which I guess endorses them further!! Great job guys.

Hello Dear Readers !!! I would like to share my experience with The Monk Cafe. Their food is always freshly made, delicious, finger licking and Yummy especially their Schezwan Beef Noodles, which I like the most and the portion are huge and the price wise very affordable. One portion would be good for 2 people.

Incorrect order delivered. Had ordered chicken dumplings but received veg instead. Tried calling the restaurant but the lines were dead. I've been a regular customer at The Monk but the standards are slipping since my past few orders. Edit: Reached them on phone on the 15th attempt. They offered to bring the correct order this time. However more than two and a half hours delay (since I first placed my order) was really annoying.

This place has always been my favourite, since university days. The most affordable and tasty Chinese food that's a party on my appetite. Great place with nice warm interiors and some unmissable food and service. Highly Recommend the Shrimp & Chicken items on the menu especially the Prawn Crispy Spinach.

Went here with a friend and must say, That the seating and feel of the restaurant is quite sophisticated. The food is decently priced and the service is efficient as well. Taste wise, it is authentic and nice. The portion of food served is quite satisfying and more than enough. We had the Mongolian pot noodles and Schezwan noodles.

I have been to this place with my wife and friends... The ambience is nice and decent. Ordered their special Spinach Chicken and it is really yummy.. Their chicken dumplings, fried rice and their special Chicken Wooly are also superb. The quantity and quality is also good. Highly recommended to visit and try out this restaurant.

We ordered Hot n sour soups and main courses of American Chopsuey, Wooly chicken, Fried rice, Chicken noodles, Crispy chicken with crispy spinach ...food was delicious and the serving sizes were good. Parking was available in the building compound but although it said first hour free we were charged for two hours parking when we left One hour and twenty minutes later as the unsaid rule the building management does not display is that before one hour is completed you must exit the building and drive for about 2 kms to do the two U turns and enter the compound again...not acceptable, please take care when you visit. This used to be a very good restaurant..hate to see the quality of food dropping low...the tenderloin oyster sauce has a very bad meat in it.. It was chewy and under cooked.. The spring rolls has zero taste.and the noodles was spongy reheated or left over i dont know.. I have actually threw most of it away..coz its unedible

The best manchow soup. The portions are usually good for 2 or even 3 persons. They have lots of varieties. Safely packed and they deliver really quick.
