We popped into the Crab and Waltzer during our few days stay in the area. The young girl Ellen was fantastic ! So friendly , helpful, chatty to everyone. She had such a passion for the place, we thought she must own it but she wasn’t the owner ! She’s the kind of employee every company would want! The food was great and they do skimmed milk which has been hard to find in other coffee shops. When we come back to this area we will definitely be back to the Crab and Waltzer - fantastic place - 10 out of 10 ! Jenni and Derek Thorpe , Beverley, East Yorkshire. Ps we also took her advice and popped to Arrighi Ice cream cafe in Seaton Deleval - thanks Ellen!

Absolutely lovely place fantastic food, lightest battered fish superb chips. Outstanding..portions are big..so be careful...Great value for money..really top staff. Little gem of a place, hidden in plain sight.

Staff where amazing, they were friendly, chatted to my son when he got upset as he thought they were pinching his food when I asked for a tub to take his home as he hadn't eaten it.

Called in for breakfast, was told straight away about an offer they had on for my little boy to eat free with a paying adult. Full English breakfast was huge and delicious my sons had pancakes/waffles and couldn't finish it all the portions are very generous!

Popped in for breakfast. Amazing bacon and sausage sandwich with the highest quality meat. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff.

Great place to eat and drink when visiting Whitley Bay. There’s some great places surrounding for take aways etc, but this is my favourite if you fancy a drink and somewhere comfortable to sit down.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place to eat.
We visited this place a couple of times for breakfast and was very impressed. Lovely staff and very attentive. They even fussed over my niece and gave her some crayons so she could colour.
Food was brilliant and was more then enough to set us up for the day.

Every time I've eaten there, always a good experience. Food good quality, well cooked and presented. The staff are always friendly and making sure the surroundings are tip top. I've returned repeatedly and friends/family have also been pleased when eating there.
