Food is nice. We like the Dang Gui Duck which goes well with rice. For a whole duck, the sauce they gave is not enough for my family so they gave a small bowl with the amount lesser than half filled. When we ask for more, staff said is chargeable. Tap water for drinking also chargeable. Could feel they are trying to get back as much. The kailan has worm in it which is common for this vegetable. Hence open your eyes wide.

My favourite Chinese restaurant, especially this beautiful interior design at this NEX branch, and of cause their wonderful roasted duck, compared to other branches, they still servd very consistent quality duck, so loved it. Our favorite dishes, first definitely their Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb, aroma herb taste perfectly infused into the duck, tender and tasty with the crispy duck skin. You will definitely love it. Although the price was slightly high, but with quarter portion we order, plus another two dishes, is really sufficient to fit our hungry stomach. 😅 Secondly, one of their popular unique dishes was the - Baby Kai Lan with Salted Fish & Lime. This special pan-fried vegetable with the touch of fresh lime and savory taste of the salted fish was definitely a must have in your order. Lastly, a simple fresh tomatoes fried eggs, this was a simple dish yet flavourful for your meal. You can chose without adding additional tomatoes sauce in your dish soy o taste a very original fresh tomatoes taste. 😋 If you really like the foods, I recommend you sign up their $88 membership. Get the leaflet next time, you will definitely love it. 🤗

The staff here are very warm and friendly, and the duck is super tasty with that herbal sauce. The winter melon soup is also really of excellent quality! They must have boiled the soup for hours to get that taste. $88 membership makes it very worthwhile to have a nice dinner once every few months! Highly recommended to sign for it. Last order is at 8.30pm and they close at 9pm.

Dian xiao er has been around ever since nex mall was built. It serves various Traditional Chinese dishes which includes their famous roasted herbal duck. The interior of this place resembles closely to the traditional Chinese style that were commonly seen in the China dynasty period. The food here is superbly exceptional! Very tasty herbal roast duck and well marinated. You are able to chose among many variations and flavours such as dang gui which they called in angelica herb, ten wonder herb and wild ginseng. Some other dishes that you can opt to try will be the cereal prawn, it has super cripsy cereal bits and is perfect for cereal lovers. There's also the hotplate beancurd that is served via hotplate. For veggies options, you can go for the long bean or baby kailan. In terms of customer service standards, the staff here are all very friendly and approachable. They will always make that with the guests are well taken care of by reposing promptly to ant request we may have.

Spent more tha SGD $70++ on whole duck from Dian Xiao Er at City Square, with only 1 request that was to please give a bit more pieces of cucumber. This is what I have received... 8 slices of the pathetic cucumber for the order of the whole duck. When I asked the staff why are they so stingy on the cucumber, her reply was, normally we gave only 5 slices for whole duck order! I hope the management can improve on this. I am willing to pay for a full tub, without the staff being sarcastic to me.
