A very unassuming place. Hard to believe that this place has been in Plainfield downtown for so long and I had never visited until 2021. A real hidden gem. Great service, great food and great atmosphere.
There's also currently a Groupon available for this place that you might want to pick up if you'ree going. Really can't go wrong with this place.

Reasonably priced. Great food. And the service was amazing.
We went there on Mother's day so had to wait a little longer for the food to arrive. But when it came, it was worth the wait.

First time back since new ownership and last time. It’s too bad the food used to be good. The waitress was great. But the food was not very good besides the soup. I wish I took the receipt since on the way home. The $60 price wasn’t adding up for 2 adult and 2 kids meals. But oh well live and learn. My suggestion is go somewhere else as it isn’t what it used to be.

I have drove by this place for 40+ years and just recently stopped in. Cute, cozy old school diner. Food was good, server was friendly, and space was clean. What else could you ask for? Recommended!!

The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. The restaurant was not busy, but our server kept disappearing. She forgot to bring our soup, she never came back to check for drink refills, and she never cleared any of our empty dishes. Even though the service was not great, we would still go back here to eat.

Larry's dinner is a comfortable restaurant to eat at, where the portions will fill you and the staff is nice and welcoming. My personal favorite to get there is the cream a chicken soup. No matter what you wind up ordering at this nice restaurant i assure you that you will leave feeling happy & full.

Food was good, service was good. Drinks were horrible. $8 for a milkshake and i dont know what is used to make them but it seems like water and maybe milk instead of actual ice cream. Neither of my kids would drink theirs and after tasting it, i understood why. Coffee was very bitter and burnt. Great food...but order a pop or somethin. Dont waste your time on anything else.

Super fast service, fantastic food (I got a gypsy skillet) and a good price, and a lot more extensive menu than the restaurant next door, shout-out to the waitress Jennifer who was quick and friendly served with a smile and made our day! Will be going here again 💙
