The food was ok but the fact that they carry Peruvian drinks is a big plus. The service needs some polishing. It was not a busy night tonight and many of the people working seemed scattered brain. Our waiter was good but did have some delays with our food and drinks.

My overall experience was great. The staff was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions. The white fish ceviche was crazy!!! It was like flavor bombs with every bite. I also had the chicken chaufa... very similar to a fried rice. I like it when it has the little crunch to it. Very flavorful and full of extras like eggs, scallions, peppers and chicken. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu. Job well done.

Absolutely delicious, great ceviche selection, the octopus was cooked perfectly - tender and tasty. Had 2 drinks off of their cocktail menu, both delicious. Will definitely be going back

The entire experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious. I had the "ceviche mixto" and I was very surprised by the enormous portion! Everything about the dish was perfect; thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, visually appealing and equally delicious. The chef pays attention to detail, matter a fact, the chef even visited the tables and introduced himself! (nice touch) The ambiance is perfect for a date night or fun for a group of friends just the same; dimly lit and very modern with music to match the style. I will definitely be back and highly suggest this establishment for anyone who enjoys a complete dining experience that touches all the senses. Parking is tough in this area, so better to Uber or Lift it there!

Really happy to see this place in the neighborhood. It has a unique menu and everything we got tasted great. Was tempted to put them at 3 or 4 stars because the service was a bit choppy, but everyone was super friendly, the food was incredible and I want them to do well - and I think they'll figure out the hiccups since they seem like a pretty new spot. Will definitely go back.

Having spent some time in Lima and a big fan of Ceviche, my daughter and I wandered in last Saturday. The owner greeted us and queried whether we had a reservation. We did not, however, he asked us to wait a few moments and returned to guide us to the bar, where he'd adjusted patrons to find us two seats and said he'd work on getting us a table, although fully booked.. We sat down, ordered drinks and approx 15 mins later, I thanked him for accommodating us and so as to not infringe on the already crowded floor, asked if we could be served at the bar. He offered us the full menu, which I gathered was not the normal practice. We started with the Yucca and moved on to the Braised Beef dish for my daughter and the Paella (calamari, mussels & shrimp) for me. All three were spectacular. Part way through our meal, I noted the owner behind the the bar, mixing a red concoction of liquors into a large decanter shaped like a skull. He then poured 8 servings into smaller, skull glasses and proceeded to put one down in front of everyone at the bar. Personally, I didn't care what it contained, it was a skull shaped glass and had blood red stuff in it. What's not to like?! We finished dinner with a couple of Chilcanos. A drink made with Pisco (a colorless or yellowish-to-amber colored brandy), lime, simple syrup, ginger ale and bitters. Crisp and refreshing. While I didn't get to my ceviche, the meal, ambiance, service and the fact the owner went out of his way to accommodate us (sans reservation), was exceptional. I will make it a point to go back on my next visit to Philly and recommend the venue to friends, family and acquaintances. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

You must eat here! Not only is the service great, as others have stated, but everything is delicious!!! Our table ordered the classico ceviche and the anticuchos for appetizers, my friends each ordered the half ordered of pollo a brassa and the parihuela, and I had the second de carne. Each dish was cooked to perfection. II will most definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu.

I cannot say enough great things about Chaloco's Ceviche bar. They are serving up a delicous menu of traditional Peruvian food with the help of Chef Yuki, who I had the pleasure of meeting while dining that night. The food itself is so full of flavor and heart.Ypou can tell they take great pride in what they serve. One of the hits of the night was the classic Ceviche which was we all couldn't get enough of ( literally all fought over this dish). Every part of the dishes had flavor down to the rice which we all thought might have been plain "white rice" until trying it and discovering that was not the case. The cocktails were also amazing as especially since they use Pisco as the base for most of their signature drinks. The service was above and beyond and you felt so at ease and welcomed. Overall a great dinner with friends and a delicious evening that I can not wait to have again.

Amazing happy hour! $6 huge Mojitos & Margaritas. We ordered one of each appetizers....delicious! Tacos steak/Chicken were well marinated & tasty. Ceviche was fresh & citrusy. I heard they’re going to have a DJ on weekends. I’m excited to have this place nearby!
