I’ve been going to El Charro since I was a kid and it’s still one of my favorites! The food and salsa is great! There are great specials like $3 margaritas on Tuesdays!

We have been dining at El Charro since they first opened. The restaurant has been owned and operated by the same family. The food quality -- freshness and taste -- has been consistently very good every time.
We choose restaurants on the basis of food quality, not service. Nowadays, the service varies as it does for many businesses. If it's slow, imagine that you're in another country where people dine for food and fellowship.

EL Charro catering did a wonderful job at our daughter's welcome dinner last weekend in Piegon forge. The food was great, they handled all the delivery and setup. We are from out of state and they made all the arrangements very easy. Thank you so much.

The best Mexican restaurant in Knoxville. Family owned and genuinely good people. The food is incredible. Great portions and the occasional family recipe pops up on the weekends. Good margaritas and drink specials.

Great Mexican restaurant. They have hot items which are actually spicy! Get the Habanero salsa if you want hot! Taco Tuesday is a winner!

Was there with my family of 4 took an hour to get second basket of chips when I ordered 2 large cheese dips and all had salsa as well dip was cold by time second basket of chips arrived and food was good but no better than any other Mexican restaurant in town so I'll gladly spend my 75 dollars somewhere else

The only reason I give 2 stars is because of the quality of service provided by our waiter; otherwise 1. I’m not a picky person and this is the first time I’ve ever eaten Mexican and not liked it. The food was terrible. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, and the red sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce from an Italian restaurant. The inside was nothing but steamed veggies, no flavor whatsoever. This is NOT an authentic Mexican eatery experience. I was disappointed!
