Just eat at the gas house. From the outside, it does not look like a five-star restaurant, but I can assure you that it is. Almost every place around that serves wild game over cooks it. I got an elk fillet that was perfect medium rare, rather tender, and exceptionally well flavored. I added a quail to it and enjoyed one of their house cocktails. The only downside to this place is you will pay for this pleasure. Dinner for one was $110. If you don’t have alcohol, you can save some money and you can order some of the Lesser things off the menu. When I ordered the tuna appetizer I had no idea that it was going to be $28. Still, the food was excellent and I felt it was an average value for the dollar.

Great restaurant. It has a really cool atmosphere, lots of taxidermy animals and mounted animal heads on the wall it really gives this place a country cabin/Yellowstone vibe. The staff is very friendly and fast service. I ate here with my flight crew for Thanksgiving dinner and they had a special 3 course Thanksgiving dinner that was amazing. Best butternut squash soup I've ever had. And they had some cool local beer options as well.

A group of 5 of us came to Edwards for the week to snowboard. We've ate at several restaurants, and this is by far the best service and meal we've had. The food was fantastic and we all left overly satisfied and didn't spend near the money we have at others. The service was FANTASTIC. We thought "bad service" was a Colorado thing, but this proved that wrong. Tim took care of us and took the time to go over the menu and explain all the specials. Food came out quick and we never went without drinks in our cup. He was friendly and the entire staff worked fast- tables didn't sit with dirty plates from the other customers for longer than a minute. The service was top notch and what we had expected from the 5 star restaurants. Extremely clean facility great atmosphere and in our opinion the best restaurant in Edwards.

I saw another review that said it perfectly, 'rustic and refined'. Somehow they totally pull it off. We stopped here sort of by chance and I'm so glad we did. Everything was delicious and service was outstanding. So cool to eat in an original gas station from 1932. My husband had the elk tenderloin and I got the trout and both were really really good. We loved how quality was so good but the atmosphere wasn't stuffy. Would DEFINITELY go back on a return trip to Edwards!
