Sushi Zushi Of The Domain

Overall Austin's Sushi Zushi pleased with its delivery. The atmosphere is nice and open. We were there at lunch time and it was rather empty so service was great. The pros are definitely the unexpectedly good sushi in Austin, Texas. It is located around a lot of different businesses and upcoming apartments so it'll certainly continue to grow. Unfortunately, their seaweed needs to be upgraded. Was like ripping through jerky which is the primary detractors for the score. Admittedly I wasn't blown away by the pricing. High end prices for what I would consider mid-tier quality. Maybe it's just the fact that it's great quality for Texas standards. Overall, definitely pleased and would go here again next time I'm out here.

This is an excellent spot to hit for happy hour (everyday from three till seven). My dear companion and I ordered two sake flights, some edamame, and the Tempura Tuna Poppers. The sakes were great, the edamame was excellent, and the poppers were hot and delish. Our waitress had only just started at the restaurant, but she was perfectly sweet and our service was good. I hope to return to Sushi Zushi someday, if only to get my hands on that octopus tentacle I was eyeballing through the glass at the sushi bar.

This is one of two of my favorite places to eat sushi and Japanese food. First of all, parking is easy and convenient, as they are right next to the parking garage. Not to mention that your vehicle is covered from the Sun, and protected from the elements in inclement weather. The restaurant is very clean, well organized and roomy (you don't feel like you have to squeeze in between tables or feel like you're sitting with the table next to you). It beautifully and modernly decorated, and huge pane windows. There is a separate bar off to the side when you walk in. And a separate event or party room in the back. The atmosphere is mid upscale casual to dressy, and cozy. If you have wait, it's pretty quick. The host/hostess and wait staff are super cordial, friendly, and fast. All of their food is very well proportioned and just AWESOME. I personally love their comfort foods. I'm a fairly small person, with a huge appetite, who isn't all that crazy about eating out, but I love this place. It is the perfect place for lunch, a date night, or for celebrating any occasion.

My wife and I ate here for dinner as part of our anniversary celebration. It was our first time and we were happily surprised it was better than we expected. Our server was typical for the area, but did a good job. He even helped us with a selection of dishes that equaled what we would have gotten with a bento box meal we wanted. While not the best sushi style restaurant we have been to it was still good and we would consider eating here again.
