After walking out of another cafe having waited for half an hour to get served, we stumbled on this lovely cafe just opposite Cliffords Tower. The staff are so welcoming the food is excellent. Prices spot on, and the cafe is very clean and bright. This cafe is well worth a visit, sheer value for money in a very expensive city where tourists get ripped off. I can definatley recommend this cafe, please try it you will not be disappointed.

Popped in to have a cuppa!! Fab little place, plenty of choice. Clean and welcoming. Great pot of tea and a lovely coffee at a brilliant price. Very friendly staff, what more could you ask for. If we're ever in York again, we'll be back there!!

Great place for breakfast. View from window superb!
Came for lunch and returned later for tea and scones. Lovely food, friendly atmosphere and great value for money. Super view of Clifford's Tower. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, cozy cafe and excellent value for money. We had a full and a small English breakfast. Changing a component was no problem and the pot of tea for two was good and strong. Dog and family friendly too - nice view of the Tower ...the cakes looked amazing too, but we had an excellent sufficiency after breakfast. Highly recommended

We enjoyed a cream tea with warmed scones. I don't usually get the choice for warmed scones so that was wonderful.
The owner is very friendly.
I would happily visit here again and recommend it based on my visit today.

Lovely little cafe right near the Castle Museum. The full English I had was perfect an the lady was very accommodating with changing items despite being rather busy. The poor dear was on her own when we arrived but managed to make our brews and breakfasts whilst serving four other customers all with her smile on her face.
All in all great food, friendly service and moderately priced

A little gem of a cafe that delivers on every count.....good food, good prices, friendly staff and you can take your dog in with you (providing they are well behaved).
We love their breakfast menu and have always been made very welcome.
