Came in for on a Saturday afternoon. Place was fairly empty at 2 ish and TV's were off and jukebox not playing. Ordered two meat combo with Ribs and sliced brisket and bean and potato salad. Wife had baked potato with chopped brisket and hot link. Thought their brisket was some of the best I have had in a long while. Ribs were decent but a little tough. Beans ok and potato salad good. Wife loved her baked potato. Prices reasonable and service good. Would recommend Wilsons BBQ.

I have been a customer of Wilson's for 16 years. It hasn't been the same since Mr. Wilson passed away in 2004. The new owner Amos remodeled the original restaurant on Apache, paved the parking lot and did a nice job of it. Sometimes the ribs are fantastic and at other times overcooked. Through the years I have noticed that he can't keep his staff. And he has had some great staff. The quality is only good when he has a great chef in the back. My last time walking into Wilson's was tonight Jan. 16, 2014. My daughter and I were so upset and beyond disappointed. I ordered a 3 meat plate: (2) ribs and chopped brisket. My daughter ordered a 3 meat plate as well. We were both served the wrong order...3 ribs each. After 25 minutes the orders were corrected. I had 3 tablespoons of chopped brisket with (2) very small ribs on my plate. My daughter had a very small rib and maybe 3 tablespoons of brisket, and a corner of chicken that amounted to 3 tablespoons of meat. When we lifted the plates If they weighed 4oz it would have been a miracle. It was absolutely pitiful. There was a family who sat for 45 minutes and had still not been served their meal. Another man who spoke to us got a rib sandwich, when he opened the container he said, "what is this?" It was rediculous. The cook spoke to us to no avail, we didn't even touch our food and told the cook we were leaving. We felt so bad for the waitress for she was new and that the cook messed up every order.

A long time customer. The food is ok i guess! have not been there for months. u need expierence to know how to cook barbecue. true someone can be taught or trained but nothing makes food better then years of expierence. i remeber when the atmosphere in wilson's was outstanding. the previous owner was on with his buisness. he was an all around good guy! anyways i just feel if some of the older employees that are no longer there was it would be a better place because they knew what they were doing. they handled there job and everyone elses. you do not find that anymore either. hard workers are hard to find so if you have them do not let them go. it could be a mistake in the long run.

Hit or miss. Half the time you get the most tender ribs on the planet, the other half they are tough and dry. Its only a good deal if you have a Groupon (then your not as upset when you catch them on a bad day).

The best. This is by far the best barbecue I've ever had in my life. I grew up eating Knotty Pine as a child and while Knotty Pine has the best sauce IMO, Wilson's has everything Knotty Pine doesn't. Wilson's barbeque is perfectly seasoned, perfectly smoked, juicy, tender, fall apart, melt in your mouth, delicious! My husband and I stopped eating there because we kept getting sick but it turns out we are lactose intolerant (we should have stayed away from the buttermilk pies lol, though it is absolutely scrumptious) We look forward to coming back next time we are back in Oklahoma

Worst BBQ in Tulsa. The best thing I can say about Wilson's is that they ate nearby. This restaurant is overpriced and the food is awful. The hot links taste like hotdog water. Trust me, skip this place and drive up to Oklahoma Style.

Mightee Fine !. It doesn't get any more 'downhome' than North Tulsa, does it ? At least not in Oklahoma.<br/> For all it's problems, the area still has a vibe that soothes my soul. I love it.<br/>Wilson's Bar-B-Q is an institution there. <br/><br/>Wilson's Facts:<br/><br/>1. Wilson's has very good food which is very reasonably priced.<br/>2. Wilson's sauces are outstanding- all three of them: Sweet, Hot, and Mixed.<br/>3. The menu has some Southern 'specialty' items that very few other restaurants have*.<br/>4. The people who work there are nice. <br/>5. The atmosphere is wonderful (was even better before remodeling, but what the hey?).<br/>6. The jukebox has killer Blues music- including heavy hitters Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and BB King among other legendary Bluesmen. It's one of the best jukeboxes in Tulsa, and that goes for restaurants, clubs, bars, anyplace. Perfect for Wilson's (or any Bar-B-Q joint for that matter).<br/>7. Restaurants like Wilson's are rare jewels. Their special attributes are acquired over time. Some things can't be bought with money. They must be worked, seasoned, and nurtured.<br/><br/>1522 East Apache... Go there. Put some money in the jukebox and fire up some downhome Blues. Have an iced tea or pop or a cold beer. You can sit back, relax and soak up the homey atmosphere while your food is being prepared. It'll make you feel easy. Savor some of the best Bar-B-Q and sides in Tulsa. <br/>You may not want to ever leave.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>* Sweet Potato Fries, Smoked Potatoes, Sweet Potato Pie, and Buttermilk Pie.

Needs help. Hadn't been in quite awhile so a friend and I ate lunch here yesterday. Servers were friendly but got both our orders wrong. What we did get was okay, just not outstanding. Still better than most around.

Good BBQ. Ate here for lunch on a Wednesday.<br/><br/>Service was fast and friendly.<br/><br/>Chopped Brisket was very good; moist and flavorful. Ribs were good too; meaty and flavorful. Hot links were good. Chicken was a bit dry. BBQ Baked Beans were good.<br/><br/>Unlike most BBQ places, their hot BBQ sauce actually has some heat to it. It was very good and I definitely prefer it over their sweet BBQ sauce.<br/><br/>Buttermilk pie was very good.<br/><br/>Restaurant is clean and in good repair. Good décor. Plenty of parking.<br/><br/>Overall, good BBQ. Probably not the best in Tulsa, but certainly worth trying and worth coming back for.

Good Food. I have had both the ribs and the chopped brisket. I would recommend both of them. The sides are decent, but what keeps me going back is the buttermilk pie! If you have never had it, try it, you will enjoy it. I am from California, and I have taken friends with me to Wilson's that are from Idaho, Maryland, and Illinois. Everyone that I take seems to like it. It is sort of a hole-in-the-wall, and depending on the waitress, not too much over the top service. But if you are ONLY interested in the food, Wilson's is awesome for the amount that you pay.

Beef poor quality required lots of sauce. Fortunatly they chop it up so it's not as tough as it appears.

The spare ribs were decent and average in comparison to all the barbecue I had consumed over the previous few weeks. The brisket was mediocre at best.

Best use of fire and wood. Wilson's Bar-B-Que has been a north Tulsa institution since J.B. Wilson opened the place in 1961. The brisket is so delicious and tender that its motto rings clear: "U Need No Teeth to Eat Our Beef." Save room for hickory-smoked ribs, sweet potato fries and buttermilk pie.

From the moment I heard their tag line "You Don't Have to Have Teeth to Enjoy Our Meat" I had to try (by the way I do have teeth), Wilson's Bar-B-Que . Wilson's has been a Tulsa favorite since the 60's and I can see why. The original location is at 1522 E
