Vapiano Grand Central

Beautiful décor, wonderful location unfortunately those are the only positives. Lets start with the drinks that took 20 minutes plus to come out even though it was 5pm. We were one of the only tables there and it lacked punctuality. We were then told to order more drinks and our meals online to make it more convenient. To then find out that that cost extra to do so. Thanks to an online service fee on all transactions. An absolute joke. On to the pizza which was ordered to have extra cheese and when it arrived to the table I found myself checking the order thinking that I had mistakenly ordered no cheese. I do feel sorry for anyone who orders a pizza from here with out adding extra cheese as you will be bitterly disappointed. For an $18 pizza I expected the ham to taste delicious as well but instead was left wanting as all I could taste was the sauce, which unfortunately was the best part of the pizza as the base was flavourless and dry. The second meal was Pollo Amatriciana in the GF make your own and the zoodles were undercooked, this was disappointing. I asked for more chicken and mushrooms which I was grateful for as the person I was sitting next to, also ordered and hers was scarce. It was ok but I wouldn't order it again. Actually to be honest, I don't think I'd ever eat at there again .

Wife and I visited Vapianos after going to the carnival of flowers. Great selection on the menu and great customer service. Our major disappointment was the size of portions for the price. After paying over $40 for a entree and main we were both left hungry. Pricing and portion size need to be addressed. We won't be visiting again for a while.

Ordered 3 Spaghetti Bolognese and a Pizza which costed 100 something dollars. Very poor quality food. Bolognese was stuck together and pizza tasted uncooked. It looked like the cheese was put on after the pizza was cooked. Pizza sauce tasted raw. When called to provide feedback, I was told that the cheese does not melt. I don't think quality ingredients were used. The quality is inconsistent. Although, service provided by the manger was good.

Lovely restaurant. Greeted at the door and explained how the order process worked. They were happy to change items on the menu as I wanted a vegetarian option. Food was great, and even when busy was delivered in a timely manner. Spoke to the chef Joel, Very friendly. Highly recommend and would return again.

Our visit was very disappointing. Firstly, they don't accept cash for payment, only credit cards along with a surcharge. I wish we had walked out then. It was all downhill after that. The tables have a fixed marble structure and lamp in the middle which makes it very difficult to communicate with anybody on the opposite side. It also makes the available space very cramped to place the meals and drinks. When the meals arrived they were shocking. The pizza was wafer thin and soggy. The topping was very sparse. $28 cost, zero value. The spaghetti was clumped together so that it formed a sold block. The sauce was unable to permeate. I have had better out of a can. It was obvious that it was pre-prepared. When we are spending nearly $100 I expect our meals to be prepared fresh. The menu said the dish came with parmesan. It was absent. The waitress came to ask us if everything was OK. Instead of waiting for us to share our concerns she immediately followed up by asking if we wanted desert. No thanks! If she had waited for our answer you could have avoided this one star review. I see your usual response here is to ask us to email you. We will not be doing that. Your best response would be to refund the money we spent.

Food was dry and flavourless. I ordered spaghetti and what arrived at the table looked like 2 minute noodles. I have never left food on my plate until now. My husband ordered garlic butter prawn pasta and it was floating in oil with no sauce and again no flavour. We will not be eating here again. When asked about our meals by the waitress we were honest and were given our money back.
