The Homestead is a great place for food and drinks. It's not overly crowded or loud, so you can conversate with friends, or enjoy chatting with the bartenders and David - their head manager. The food is always changing, as in, if it's not in season it's not on the menu - which for some could be problematic, but I like trying new things, so it works for me. Though, I would like to see asparagus fries on the menu at all times! ;) Along with their food, the beer and select drinks are always changing. Again, not a problem for me, as I found a new love in the way of Mas Agave! This is a wonderful place to try and and become a regular at and is a freshly much needed addition to Santa Clara!

Nice rustic modern feel. The staff were very nice. The food was okay. My family really enjoyed the games. However, I didn’t like having to order at the hostess area and they could’ve done a better job at explaining that its a self-serve restaurant. I really enjoyed the complementary popcorn. They just opened, so they’re still Ironing out the kinks. The food selection for me is more like hardy appetizers. However, It’s cool place to go for drinks and appetizer, so I’ll definitely go back.

We were there for a private events. Their ice sculpture which they used to cool their special drinks was pretty cool. They had pool and table shuffleboard. It was Christmas time, so the place was decorated well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffet was ok. Not amazing, but also not what I would call bad. All in all a good experience. Don't know how it is for a regular dinner.

Location is great and never very over crowded, but my interactions with the owner of the restaurant have been less than respectful. I find that since the originally closed then eventual reopening of their doors the style of restaurant and presence has change dramatically but the owner from what I've experienced and seen with my own eyes is very openly disrespect to his staff and wife and truly came off as prejudice in which he allowed his staff and management to say some pretty offensive things as long as it was in a "joking manner". I personally would never step foot near that building again just based off of who the owner is but I can not take away point from the staff that do a great job given the pressure they are under while working along side him.
