Baekjeong Rowland Heights

We went on Thursday at noon, about 12:30, there were about five tables. A combo meal is ordered, consisting of three meats and one soup. A short waitress , cold face, helped us roast the meat, and I felt she didn't know how to cook it at all. She would put all kinds of meat on the roasting pan, and then it would burn half of it in a short time, which made me very unhappy. I really didn't want her to cook it. The quality of the meat is ok, but the level of waitress's barbecue technique is too bad! It's burnt my meat.

Updated Edit: 1/7/2022 I am adding onto my review to acknowledge the restaurant in doing a great job recently. Their meat quality is amazing and the staff treated us well this time around. I highly recommend they get large or obvious signs to let customers know to wait outside to sign up for the queue. Otherwise, great job and I will be back soon! Don't get me wrong, the food is great. The quality of the meat is amazing when cooked right. And depending on who is cooking your food, the meat quality might not be what you expect. They need to inform their employees to not be aggressive when serving dishes, cooking, etc. Especially not putting their elbows in front of your face while they cook at your table. The wait times are also long. Hour long tops during the weekend. No to go orders available as well apparently. 4 stars for the great meats, tofu soup, and side dishes. TLDR: Great tasting food, more hospitality training necessary

Very good, had the Ho Dong Combo and ordered the lunchbox and skirt steak on the side. The lunchbox rice is very good but small portions so order more than one if you’d like to share at a table. Ho Dong’s combo is a good idea if you want a good mix of beef and pork. Boneless short ribs were excellent.
