Poor Boys

My wife is from New Orleans and we were married at The Audubon Tea room. Her best friend since kindergarten was in town and we wanted to see how this place held up. Everything was great. We started with the Mac n cheese balls with crawfish. Not a New Orleans cuisine but adding the crawfish was a good touch. I had the popcorn shrimp which I loved. Both ladies had the grilled shrimp which were gigantic and fantastic. They shared some red beans and rice which they both swooned over. Very weirdly they also gave us a burger that we didn’t even order. The food was top shelf. If two born and raised Louisiana girls were praising this place you know it’s legit. Get in here and get you a plate of down home southern food.

This was the first week this location was allowing dine in. My boyfriends brother wanted to try it so we did Sunday Brunch. Rico was the best server I’ve had in a long time. The bloody Mary’s were out of this world and the food was absolutely incredible. I got the Brunchie Burger and it’s as large as my head essentially. Everyone else got the waffle sandwich and it looked just as amazing. I sincerely can’t wait to go back especially when they start having live bands. Highly recommend going here if you’re looking for a spot that’s chill and has great food and service. 10/10.

I found this place during a Google search to find somewhere different than a normal chain restaurant to eat. I was drawn by the fact it was a restaurant bar with live music and New Orleans inspired cuisine. I must say that I enjoyed my dinner and libations. My husband said the fried oysters were the best he'd ever had. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The only thing I was disappointed with is that the live music didn't begin until 8pm and there was a cover charge for that area of the restaurant. I was expecting to be able to enjoy live music as a part of my dinner. But overall I enjoyed my food would eat here again.
