My family is Cantonese, can’t believe all the food we ordered tasted similar to Cantonese food, especially the fried dumplings, it tasted like Ox Tongue pastry (no ox tongue in it). The ox tail was so tender, the rice was so addictive. It was our first time trying Jamaican food, we liked it so much!!

I learned about this restaurant from a post on Facebook. I ordered online and in about 2 minutes, I received a courtesy call letting me know the soup I ordered was unavailable. That was fine... I asked for the available selections. The substitute was pumpkin chicken soup. I like pumpkin but never had this particular soup before. I received my food quickly and my Hibiscus hot tea with honey was made when I arrived. Everything was great... The sauce was a great added touch to the oxtail and macaroni with cheese egg rolls.

I got the oxtails and jerk chicken egg rolls for take out and they tasted phenomenal. Rather than boiling the oxtails it seemed like they simmered it in some really flavorful broth as the meat was both tasty and tender. I have had the jerk chicken entree before and it was very good as well. While the price is a bit on the higher end, the amount of food they give you match it well but expect to pay ~$16-20 for large entrees. Take out was relatively simple, where you order online and let the people at the desk know you’re there to pick up.

I had dinner here last night as a cultural experience with Culture Encounters and it was amazing!!! I had the carrot and ginger mocktail which was sweet and refreshing. For starter the callaloo bites were flaky and flavourful. I don’t know what the dipping sauce was but it complemented the mini pies so well! Then we had the full taster menu with Jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, rice and peas, and cabbage. It was a big plate but each item was so distinctly flavoured and scrumptious that I devoured it all! Not too salty, not too spicy, just perfection. To crown it off, we had rum cake and homemade rum raisin ice cream. It was THE BEST rum raisin ice cream I have ever had! By the way, they can also do full vegetarian. I’ll definitely be back for date night!

The food here is incredible. No other way to describe it. I haven’t had much Jamaican food in my life so I can’t say if it’s authentic or not, but I can say that the jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice is absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly as well.

We found this gem while on a trip to Richmond. We’d never had Jamaican food before, and wow were we blown away! The decor and atmosphere was casual with an upscale vibe. Tia took such good care of us. The cocktails!!! We had the Purple Rain sangria and they were delicious. The food!!!!! I had the Rasta Pasta and never in my 54 years have I had more delicious pasta cooked to perfection. Fresh tomato and slivers of green cooled the heat of the jerk chicken I added on. The garlic white sauce was amazing. It was seriously the best pasta I’ve ever had. When you’re in Richmond you should try Irie Tings. If you’ve never had Jamaican food you are in for a treat! Five stars all the way!
