Shorty's Pearl Street

Shorty's is a great spot for cheesesteaks and fries. The cheesesteaks are delicious and come with a few different options including cheese: whiz, American, provolone as well as add-ons like fried onions and peppers. The rolls are fresh and I believe delivered daily from Philadelphia. They offer a fast take out downstairs or the bar upstairs is a good spot to watch sports games with a beer.

It's upbeat bar at downtown location which gets dead after 9. So it's a good place if you have to spend time with bunch of colleagues. Service though might get cumbersome as the attenders sometimes hurry up as their shift ends. But overall of you don't care any of that and just be happy with drinks and friends that's the place which comes handy.

Really good cheesesteaks and fries at an affordable price. I've been down to Philly a number of times and the prices here and down there are pretty much the same. The quality is very delicious, the meat is very well seasoned and you get a good amount of meat to bun. This isn't my first time at Shorty's and they will continue getting my business.

Shorty's is consistently delicious no matter how many times I've been there, and no matter what time of day I visit (and I've been there late!). They have a good happy hour with $5 beers. It gets packed between 5 and 7, but the servers do a good job making sure everyone gets attention. You can't go wrong with any sandwich, but if its your first time, I highly recommend the buffalo chicken cheese steak. I've had more than 30 of them over the past few years, if that says anything. If you're feeling lazy, their delivery is generally always on time and the fries somehow always arrive fresh and crispy, which always impressed me.

Great Philadelphia cheese steak sandwiches and perfectly made French fries that are served hot and crispy without being greasy. There is a good selection of quality beers, a well stocked bar, and friendly barmaids that are happy to help you pick something from the many choices on the menu and put together a sandwich or other order that is made with exactly what you want. There are happy hour and late night specials and combos you can order. There are other options on the menu but you really should try the cheese steak sandwich. I recommend the Old Bay fries.
