Great place to go for all you can eat sushi and hot pot. The pricing is pretty cheap for all you can eat. Facilities are clean and after getting your seating, you just get a plate and have at it. If you want hotpot as well the waiter/waitress will come by and ask if you want it when taking your drink orders. Within minutes the hotpot is set up and the broth is on its way to boiling. They even have a sauce station. I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday and also went for no occasion at all. Definitely recommend going at least once. You won’t regret it!

Very decent buffet with sushi that is passable. Hot food with lots of seafood options, some meat, hot pot is included in the overall price! Great varied fresh ingredients for hot pot, including many sauces. Cold salad options are all good, soup, porridge, and udon as well. Leave room for dessert! Overall decent value if you like buffets.

Nice place, food was warm enough. And for someone like me who cant handle cold food it was perfect. Their sushi was good but not much to choose from. They had Korean and Japanese soju/sake and hotpot which is a nice touch from the classic buffet. The buffet was clean and pleasant to the eyes.

I love buffets and I think this is great place with a lot of various food from Asia. I have been reading a lot of negative reviews but Everytime I have been there food is very fresh and tasty. My last visit was very nice, service was very nice from a sweet lady that waited my table. Recommended!

They have a huge line of food selections and you'll keep coming back for more. Price is reasonable for the location. I have no complaint with the service so overall a good place to eat.

I found it comfortable. Small selection of sushi, but I liked them all. Also, the food was organized. We were seated immediately and the waitress was courteous. Therefore I would recommend and come back :).

This place is so fulfilling. Just for $20 all you can for lunch. It includes all the seafood sushis etc. Food quality is very good. You can even cook ramen on your table with the raw ingredients.

Nice clean place. Staff is attentive and helpful. They have a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other seafood. Also vegetables and other ingredients to pick from for the hot pot. They have different meats and ice cream for dessert.

I went there expecting no vegan food at all but I was pleasantly surprised. There's quite a few vegan starters, salads, and hot pot ingredients. Not to mention the fruits. However the problem is that the staff is very unaware of what items are vegan. I was lucky however to be able to talk to a staff member that was familiar with veganism and had quite a decent experience.
There were two tofu starters/salads and a few more. I found that it was best to make hot pot with all the available ingredients (mushrooms, tofu, broccoli + a few vegan noodle options).
So if you're vegan, there is food for you, but know that it will take a good deal of effort to figure out what's vegan. Moreover, I'd say the lunch price is okay for the food we get but the dinner price would probably be not worth it. However, know that you won't starve.

Variety is amazing. Most of the food is very good, though the sushi you can tell has been out a little while. Other dishes were consistently very good with a few great ones. The fact they have a great selection for all you can eat hot pot is wonderful, too.

Price, selection and quality are in par with (AYCE) all you can sushi in this area. A sizable selection of hot food buffet (mostly combined Japensee/Chinese food) accompanying the sushi if decided not to eat the raw food. They even included the Hot Pot (Shabu shabu)to the buffet. Plenty of items to cook it yourself - sea foods, meats and vegetables. There are a great desert section to fill in the last empty space in your stomach. Great for company team building function.

I went there on a Friday for lunch and the price was interesting for an unlimited buffet. I advise to go there during week days because the buffet is less expensive and also not too late: it got pretty crowded around 1:30pm. Otherwise the food is good and there are so many things on the buffet!
Not the best sushis I've ever tasted but I had very good dumplings and I love that we can have fruits as well. I recommend this place.

I always wanted to try an AYCE sushi in buffet style, Ichi Umi delivers a large variety of dishes but the quality of the food is hit or miss.

The dramatic price change between weekdays and weekends are also notable

This place is one of the best buffets I have been to anywhere, nevermind NYC. They have a great selection of sushi and they have AYCE hotpot with a HUGE selection of veggies. It really does not get any better than that. All of the items I had were fresh, the waitstaff was pretty attentive without being overbearing and I really liked the look of the room. They had sashimi my friend loved (I am not a fan) and other sushi options I devoured. The first time I went there was crab, but I did not see any the second time. No big deal since everything was great. It;s a bit pricey, which is why I haven't gone more often, but it is definitely worth it.

This was not a good experience... We went dining at 8pm... The sushi looked it was there for a long time, the fish wasn't fresh... There were few pieces with salmon, the sashimi was bad! Very disappointing!

IchiUmi is probably one of the largest All-You-Can-Eat Sushi and Seafood Buffet Restaurant in NYC. The possibilities are endless and I’m sure there’s something to eat for everyone in your dinner party. Of course, IchiUmi serves delicious and fresh sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls but IchiUmi also offers an oyster bar, snow crabs, shrimp, lobsters, Korean BBQ, a tasty Ramen station and a good variety of meat entrees (beef, chicken, and pork).

After the epic fail of Kang Ho Dong Baekjong we decided to leave that pretentious place and try something else. We opted for their neighboring resto called Ichi Umi. This is a Japanese buffet restaurant, and it is huge and spacious. NO ISSUES getting in and getting a seat. They have a wide variety of food spread out on the floor ranging from sushi and sashimi to garlic bread. Seriously, yo!

Terrible. Don't eat here unless you want be embarrassed after being disappointed with bad food. Items listed on website were not available.. The ones that were did not taste good.. everything was so fishy which is not a good thing for sushi or any kinds of raw seafood. Hot foods were not hot! Fried rice was served in rice cookers... soggy and gross. Crab legs were barely edible as they were so salty. Oysters had sand... enough said? No, because they weren't even refilling these sandy oysters. Be prepared to tip a minimum of 15% for getting your own food or they will follow you out the door demanding more.

Nothing special but acceptable. There many items listed as available on their website but none of the best items were on the buffet
in addition, most of the hot items were cold by the time I got to my table which was only 10 feet from the buffet
the nigiri was the best part of the offerings at lunch -the price is good considering this place is in Manhattan.

A Sea of Food!. After a cold wet day of viewing some of NY's winter scenery My uncle was one truly hungry hungry hombre, As was everyone else in the group. I and everyone else would've been content with some place warm that had coffee but he was very insistent on eating Japanese, So after a quick suggestion from a native New Yorker we made our way to Korea Town. We were situated very promptly politely and efficiently. There were 9 of us and that is not something easily done in a packed house. Our waiter "Stan Lee" was a fast talking friendly guy who was a pro taking our orders and attended to our group incredibly well.

The spread is huge in this place. Even for a buffet. Amazing Sushi and gyu-kaku (Japanese bbq). The highlight for me though was the truly delicious Saba shioyaki (grilled mackerel). My only complaint about the sushi was that they were a bit slow to make it but other than that the sushi here was great. A few dishes here were bland and some of the fried offerings tasted like a frozen dinner reject. But if you're stuffing yourself with that stuff anyway then you've come to the wrong place. Will definitely be looking this place up again when I come back to the Big Apple.

I’ve been to a highly disappointing chain by the same name in Vegas, so be weary of imitators; only the Koreatown and New Jersey locations are the real deal. The buffet offers more than 20 varieties of Gunkan Sushi (hand formed nori ovals filled with rice/topping), 15+ types of Nigiri Sushi (clump of rice topped with fish), 20+ Maki Sushi selections (sushi rolls), 20+ kinds of sashimi (go for the white tuna, it is melt-in-your-mouth delicious), 30+

Quality Asian all-you-can-eat buffet. Ichi Umi is a good, quality all you can eat Asian selection buffet. The sushi is good quality. The remaining asian menu is a mix of mostly Japanese and Chinese food. Drinks are not included in the price. The lunch buffet price is approximately $22.

For June's Happy Hour, Midtown Lunch attendees went to 3rd Floor Cafe to partake of their Tuesday happy hour special - all you can eat and all you can drink beer. Not a bad deal; I was unable to attend and wound up meeting up with them later, and we headed off to nearby Ichi Umi to continue the drinking. The basement is a lounge/bar (which most of the group was surprised to discover), and it was really empty on this Tuesday night. (Actually, it's usually pretty empty, but the one time I tried to go before that, they all but said to my friends and I "We don't want you here" even though we were four girls… so I'm not that fond of them.) In any case, though everyone had been eating before I arrived, I was starving and quickly ordered off the menu. There were a lot of things that looked halfway interesting but I wanted something fast to calm my raging stomach ("YOU HAVEN'T FED ME IN FOUR HOURS, ARE YOU INSANE??") and picked chicken nuggets. $10 gave me the above portion - nothing small,
