It has been a while since going back to L’Amico restaurant in NYC, well I wish I did not wait so long as it was really good. The place is wonderful, the service too and I love the food, we started with Eggplant Caponata Bruschetta which was amazing, really fabulous and then the Prosciutto San Daniele with roasted pear, Gorgonzola cheese, endive and walnuts, also very tasty. Then we had a couple of pasta dishes, the Pipe Rigate with veal shoulder bolognese sauce and the Zucca pasta which I have never heard in Italian as Zucca means butternut squash, I thought it was funny as the name would be butternut squash butternut squash 🤣 anyway no matter what it was called it was absolutely delicious, I will be back again soon, loved it 😍 . . . #italianfood #italianrestaurant #newyork #nyc #naddiasfavorites #naddias_favorites #foodie #foodies #lovefood

On a chain of trips to taste Italian and here I am doing an Italian brunch on Sunday. First of all, lots and lots of sunlight shining through the glass walls during my brunch. Visually very pleasing. We got the lemon ricotta pancake that is so instagrammable and it lives up to its fame!!! Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect initially but I ended up being super surprised by the quality. Make sure you do reservations on WEEKENDS for pancakes. They are not on the regular lunch menu. The pancakes are jiggly, soft, eggy (in an appetizing way), and have a nice bit of crust on the outside. They are topped with maple crema (which melts when heated) and soft cinnamon apples, perfect for a windy morning. These pancakes remind me of soufflé due to their cloudy, melt-in-the-mouth texture. We liked to pair savory with sweet (because who doesn’t lol). So we had farmer’s pizza with two sunny side up eggs on top (to avoid the fight for sharing egg yolks). We asked our server to see if chef would be okay of adding one more egg on the pizza and we are happily accommodated. The pizza dough is got a nice crust with char at the exterior. Cheese was still melting when it came, and the sausage and the mushroom on there are quite umani. It meets the expectations of a good pizza, but not like exceptional. (Also not sure if authentic Italian people would be okay with having sunny side up eggs on pizza, but I am biased on yummy oozing yolks). So, I would recommend ricotta pancake as your priority brunch item. Their gelato flavors were also interesting: the stracciatella flavor I have never seen in my life and have no idea how it tastes. I, however, wasn’t able to taste due to a stuffed stomach (only if I knew ahead of time, regrets) but maybe others can save the space ahead of the time to try the gelatos.

Dropped into L'Amico around 9:30pm on a Thursday night and it was fairly busy and we still were able to be seated and offered drinks quickly. Our food order was also taken quickly. We got the burrata to start and two gluten free pizzas. The burrata was heavenly especially with the warm squash as we were there Nov. 9th, so it was a great autumn touch. The GF pizzas were the best my wife and I have had. I've had a lot of pizza in my day and even been to New Haven, CT (pizza mecca of the world). If you gave me this pizza and told me it was a regular gluten flour pizza I would not have noticed a difference. I'm not saying it was as good as New Haven, but it was VERY good by GF standards. Crust actually had a crisp that GF pizzas never seem to be able to develop. I took a look at the oven when we left and that is definitely a large contributor to its success, but hats off to the chef for the GF flour mixture as well. Price was midtown Manhattan prices, but not over the top and I've paid more for worse GF pizza, so it's well worth it. We were very tired from a long day of work, but I'd love to go back and try a regular pizza (my wife is GF, but I am not) as I'm sure its amazing. Overall very nice place that I'd highly recommend, especially for the gluten free pies!

We had no plans to dine here, we were starving and the Buratta sounded delicious so we stopped in to grab an appetizer and ended up ordering dinner, and it was the best gluten free pizza in the whole city. It was busy, a Thursday night at about 7 and they got us in and at a table with no wait. Our food came super fast and it was so delicious! My partner who usually isn't a fan of gluten free was super impressed with their pizzas (which is extremely difficult to do he has his own Pizza reviewing hobby) all in all it was a great experience. We were packed in like sardines but it's NY so I would expect nothing less.

Excellent location. The wood fired oven produces delicious dishes and creates a cozy atmosphere. The grilled octopus served over potatoes is a delicious appetizer! We also loved the skirt steak with gnocchi. The baby Brussel sprouts with guanciale is also excellent.

This is an awesome spot. We wanted a quick bite and a cocktail before our show at Madison Square Garden and found this place on a google search. The woman working at the front desk of our hotel confirmed it was a great spot and she was right! We got a couple of drinks and shared the mushroom truffle pizza. Oh my goodness it was so yummy and the perfect size for what we were looking for. The bartenders were super nice and chatted with us as they mixed drinks. The vibe inside was awesome, very high end but with fair prices for the cuisine. I am definitely going to visit again and try their dinner menu. I highly recommend this spot!! W

Truly an aesthetically pleasing environment for a photogenic brunch. Waitstaff was very accommodating and was able to seat us 30 min before the kitchen closed. Food was ok. Nothing too impressive at that given price point but I do applaud them for having some healthy options.

🌟it has become my absolute favorite brunch spot in Manhattan! My friend and I ordered Lemon Ricotta Pancake + Peekytoe Crab Toast + Farmer’s Pizza. The pancake is so fluffy and cloud-like: blueberry jam, ricotta and lemon zest is a magical match; the toast with crab and avocado is a must-try summer appetizer; the farmer’s pizza is nicely toasted with one flaw: the bottom of the crust is too soggy so it’s hard to pick the big slice up. Other than that, the atmosphere is great! So chill and perfect for dates/girlfriend talks:) food comes quite slow tho. So plan ahead! It’s worth it!😭

I walked by this place and fell in love with the amber lighting and black and white ceramic tile floor - I wanted to experience the food immediately. Today our server John was ATTENTIVE & HELPFUL. The food was definitely FLAVORFUL - I’m a foodie so I was hoping for me of a portion, BUT, the service and flavor made up for the difference. The whole staff seemed happy to be there, which made me think that they enjoyed their job! The cocktails were DELICIOUS. The 2nd cocktail that I had was PERFECTLY BALANCED, Strong, & Slightly Smokey - and it was in the most beautifully etched glass (if they sold these (which I didn’t ask) I would definitely order as gifts! Definitely coming back!
