I heard about this restaurant from a documentary that I watched on Netflix, 'High on the Hog' and I knew immediately I had to come and dine here. The kindness and attentiveness from the staff was great. The food was amazing. I had the Branzino St. Tropez which was cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside, the Lychee martini for my cocktail, Blue Point New York Oysters, and I also had the New England clam chowder that was very good! For dessert, i had the warm chocolate chip cookie with salt, caramel and vanilla bean ice cream which was so delicious! Victor and Zog were so kind and welcoming!!! I highly recommend! Thank you!

Came here on a Thursday afternoon, You definitely need a reservation even though all the tables appear empty. We sat at the sushi bar but were reminded a couple of times that we have to leave at a certain time for people who reserved the seat. Clams were great, I loved the selection. Sushi was good. Ambience was kind of noisy, but it’s a really pretty restaurant. Servers were fast and attentive.

Walked in during peak traffic and was lucky to get a seat at the sushi bar. Great atmosphere and the decor is so cool. Not sure if they were short-staffed but service was really slow and at times, it was difficult to get a hold of our waitress. However, in the brief moments that we did get her attention, the waitress was really nice, answered our many questions and she did accommodate us really well in the end. Service aside, the rolls were delicious! I paired my food with sparkling cuvée prestige and it was perfect! I wouldn’t get the oysters again nor the lychee martini but everything else was fantastic!

Great vibe, good service, okay food. Oysters were pretty good though. I would come back for the bar, not a table.

Food and service were excellent. Oysters, sushi/sashimi, the pasta, and the burger were all delicious. Friendly and kind service. Atmosphere was a bit louder and younger than expected but I guess that's Friday night in NYC.

Costa was our server this evening and he did an exceptional job! We had sushi and ordered their king cab wagyu special and it was so delicious. Costa really helped us celebrate my husband birthday with a lovely dessert and cava. It was such a treat and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend! Thank you for such an awesome evening there!

Generous portions and well priced, except for the deviled eggs which are a bit of a rip off ($19!!! But extra $3 premium of caviar was alright). The crispy sushi rice was very delicious as was the tempura shrimp. The sea bass and crab pasta were quite good but thought the halibut was a bit dry so would skip that. Overall, a good experience and can see why this is a NYC staple!

I almost hesitated to write this review, as I wanted to keep this restaurant to myself lol. So, please don't spread the word haha. The ambience was excellent. The staff was unbelievably polite. The food was a huge OMG! Don't leave without trying the lobster mac and cheese! The sommelier was exceptionally attentive. Giovanni, you rock!!! Will be back soon...maybe in a few hours hahaha

After closing a big sale at work, I surprised my partner with a reservation at Lure Fishbar. This soho spot has become our go-to over the years for celebrating special career milestones and successes. We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled reservation knowing it was unlikely they'd be able to seat us, but somehow they made it happen! We were quickly greeted by our server, Jose, who took our drink order. After receiving our drinks and looking over the menu to make sure our favorite items were still on the menu, we ordered: A half dozen oysters, the spicy crispy rice, the hamachi ponzu crispy rice, the Shazam roll and the whole stuffed lobster. The whole stuffed lobster was the only item we had never tried before, so we knew we were in for a treat. All of the food came out well prepared and well-paced. We love the consistency of the oysters, crispy rices and rolls. However, once the whole stuff lobster came out, we were disappointed to see it was overcooked. Normally we wouldn't say anything, as we're pretty laidback when it comes to food orders, but it was so overcooked that we couldn't get it out of the shell. We felt horrible, but knew we needed to let Jose know given the price point of the item. After informing him, he promptly asked if we wanted a new one or wanted to switch to another item. We ordered a new one and also ordered another Shazam roll while we waited. During that time, the manager, Orin (spelling?) came up to us to check in and assure us the lobster was being made with special care. Totally unnecessary, but we appreciated it and believe this level of hospitality is what sets Lure Fishbar out amongst the rest! We understand that not every order can be absolutely perfect (we're all human!), but that service can be - Lure Fishbar is an excellent example of a spot that knows what they are doing. When the newly cooked lobster came out, it was truly cooked to perfection and we couldn't have been happier. We really appreciate the kitchen for putting in the extra work for us. They also went above and beyond and surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate my sweetheart's work win! We are so grateful to Lure Fishbar, specifically Jose, Orin and the kitchen staff, for making our experience wonderful. We can't wait to visit again soon.
