R Lounge At Two Times Square

One word sums up our experience at the R Lounge: INCREDIBLE. Sylvia and her team went out of their way to ensure my daughter’s Sweet 16 celebration was exceptional. The service, food, drinks, and ambience were second to none. I flew my family up from DC to give my daughter an extra-special celebration and Sylvia did not disappoint. They seated us promptly, curated a custom playlist for my daughter based on her faves, and brought out some tasty birthday treats for desert. This is going to be a night my daughter won’t forget, and we’ll be sure to tell our friends in DC how extraordinary we were treated.

It's a hotel lounge/restaurant (part of Renaissance hotel) and the menu is pretty small, but has decent drinks offering. The food is actually not bad despite the very small number of choices. Burger is ok, salad is fresh, French fries is adequately savory. The pizza is a little disappointing and probably aimed more towards kids. The kettle chips is so-so because the flavor was good but not as crispy as it should be. That being said, the selling point of this place is the location! It's right up facing Times Square and has probably the best view of the New Years ball if you ever decide to watch it in person (which in my personal opinion isn't worth the time and effort after doing it once). It's fun to eat dinner while people watching and seeing all the giant screens in Times Square.

I booked a table for 4 for drinks. It was very easy. We arrived and were shown to our table. The views were amazing from the lounge no matter where you were sitting. The only annoying part was the servers coming to the table when you are not even half way through your drink asking do you want another. Very pushy to give you another drink. Nice experience other than that.

A hidden gem for any trip to NYC!! In such a busy place as Times Square, I was amazed at how spacious and nice this place was! I went 2-3 times and back when I went it was open for lunch but this can make a great dinner spot too! Food and drinks were enjoyed by my whole table, the staff were friendly, and the view of course is incredible! I recommend to anyone going to visit!

We had a lovely meal here, it's a great location and is priced reasonably given this. I had the cheese and charcuterie main course which was very good although it didn't stand out as being particularly amazing. The service felt a little rushed initially but once we'd ordered we felt relaxed and were not rushed out the door after finishing. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant and would return myself!

The view is better than the food and the service can be a bit slow and uncaring. I tried this place twice: at night and during the day. Night is prettier since it looks out on Time Square. The lobster roll is fishy but the grilled cheese and bacon was tasty. Best thing on the menu is 99 cents: the old bay seasoned potato chips. Quite good. Skip dessert, they aren't very good.
