Excellent food and service with a comfortable atmosphere. Unique looking crab cake that looks an onion but taste great. I highly recommend.

Had always wanted to go to Delmonico's for years, but for some reason never made it over there. My wife's birthday was coming up and she is a steak aficionado so I thought why not now. Should kick myself for not going there sooner. It is an iconic New York steakhouse that lives up to it's reputation. Went for lunch with it being everything we could have hoped for in a dining experience. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and everyone we interacted with from that point on was fantastic. We are not big fans of loud and were pleasantly surprised the noise level here is civilized. Tables are nicely spaced apart so you are not overwhelmed by nearby conversations. Classic and comfortable décor that mixes old school with modern updates. Onto the food...best described as marvelous. Extensive wine list with our waiter recommending a perfect accompaniment for our particular meals. I'm not that up on wines, however, my wife is in the know and felt very comfortable with the recommendations. Ordered Wedge and Caesar salads for appetizers. The Caesar salad was very good and the Wedge salad was outstanding. My wife chose a Petit Filet Mignon which was done to perfection (medium rare) and melted in her mouth like butter. I had Steak Frites that knocked my socks off...it was that good. Surpassed my expectations. Desserts were delicious and a had a nice presentation for my love's birthday. Got a big kiss for choosing Delmonico's as a surprise birthday lunch. No question we will be dinning at Delmonico's again.

Classic New York dining experience, before the ‘sharing plates’ renaissance destruction. Exquisite design & decor. Food is decadent. I would have expected more efficiency & expertise from the server, who did not know about the allergen contents on the menu (& omitted to ask about) & slow to check on the table. Regardless, the experience is outstanding & I would return to this establishment in a heartbeat.

The food here was amazing! Both our steaks were cooked to perfection. So tender and full of flavor. Our server was attentive and made our overall experience enjoyable. Thank you!

This is only a review for their Thanksgiving Day service. Our three courses were all delicious and plated in a very eye-pleasing manner. Our waitress was exceedingly pleasant, attentive, and ensured our experience was enjoyable. Only downside was it was exceptionally expensive, especially for a family of 4. Adding more for certain items in a prix fixe meal was not received well. Also, adding gratuity for a small party was disappointing. We usually go to a steakhouse every Thanksgiving and this was more costly than the last two holidays. Glad we visited but even with the outstanding food and service, doubt we'd be back given the high cost.

Really still an outstanding restaurant. From decor to food to service everything is top notch. I don't say this lightly bit but I think the Delmonico steak is my all time favorite in NYC. Really incredible!

Delmonico's delivered for my friend's birthday dinner. The space is very charming as is the staff. The food is old school steakhouse with a few new flourishes. Generally, it's well executed if not crazy exciting to eat.
We had the wedge salad which had a delicious tomato on it considering the season is over. The dressing was kinda lackluster but the blue cheese which is not incorporated into the dressing was very flavorful. The crab cake looks gorgeous, like it's wearing crispy potato string armor and was chock full of crab. The tarragon dill tartar sauce was unfortunately bland.
The shrimp cocktail was fine. Our birthday guest adored her short rib tortellini. The sauce on the Lobster Newburg was very rich and beautifully colored. Like they used lobster shells in the sauce.
I had the eye of Delmonico steak and it was perfectly cooked and underseasoned. I tried to get someone's attention to bring salt but just used my purse stash. That was the only time the service was off for the whole meal.
The shallot beef jus was well made.
The king crab spaetzle was generously topped with crabmeat and some sort of crunchy shards of maybe potato shingles that get weird and less crunchy from the heat and humidity of the dish.
We throughly enjoyed the hash browns and the asparagus.
The only thoroughly disappointing dish was the much acclaimed Baked Alaska. I didn't think it's was special or delicious. I understand that it can't be flaming any more, but it should still dazzle for is reputation and price.

They say this is the Oldest Restaurant in the United States 🇺🇸 1837. There are other restaurants in NYC that have the same name but they’re not Steak Houses. This place claims to have created Eggs Benedict, Wedge Salad 🥗, and the Baked Alaska Dessert 🧁. Also the 1st place in the US to use the word “Restaurant “. Overall, this is a very nice place. Clean facilities. Good food with Asian Accents. More NYC locals here than tourists. Steak House prices so bring your Credit Cards 💳. Staff is nice. I’d recommend going for lunch.

Legendary steakhouse. Service could definitely have been better, especially for the prices we’re paying. This is up there with some of the best ones in midtown (keens, the grill, etc) in terms of meat quality and arguably the sides which were quite interesting. However it took us awhile to get the attention of our server and things just seemed to move a little slowly. They did love to keep our water filled though. Get the delmonico medium rare, you wont regret it.

Come visit the country’s first fine dining restaurant - finally back open since 2020. The service is always impeccable, but our server Cezal made it shine even more. Not only was he very accommodating, other staff came by to wish my fiancée a happy birthday. We are so happy you’re back & the updated dining area looks great! We’ll be back soon.
