Muddy's Bake Shop

Really cute shop and you can see in the back of the bakery from the street windows. The Prozac chocolate cupcake was divine, and the Bday cake one with cream cheese icing second. A slice of vanilla cake was our least favorite, but definitely recommend all the cupcakes. Ironing boards for patio tables 🙂 Great dessert stop on a road trip!

I had the most delightful visit to Muddys Bake Shop on Broad Avenue! Their cupcakes were absolutely fantastic, and the peach pie was a real treat. I almost couldn't resist picking up some of their cute hand towels too. (I will definitely be back!) Plus, the chic outdoor seating area with bubbles added a charming touch. It's got that wonderful local feel that makes it a must-visit spot!

We loved our class at Muddy's Bake Shop! We did a baking class at Muddy's for my friend's bachelorette trip, and it was such blast! Leah and Alyssa were amazing instructors, and they even customized the class to make it special for our Bride to be! We learned so much, and the goat cheese and herb scones we made turned out delicious! I will definitely be back here next time I'm in Memphis. 10/10 would recommend!

I attended a baking class with a bridal party (there were 9 of us there). The instructors, Leah and Alyssa, were so sweet, fun, and clear in the class! They had a lot of pro tips and break based educational bits. We made scones which usually seems daunting but they offered a lot of tips that helped all of us, many of us being non-bakers, less than beginners! And by the end we all had really great baked goods to take home. Also, they gave us a coupon to use in the store on baking supplies for after. Great experience, great instructors, great recipes, great food! Go have fun!

I am from out of town, but placed an order with Muddy's for my sister's birthday cake after reading positive reviews. I had a seamless experience with this bakery - from the ease of online order to the fast and friendly pick-up. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly in-person. Even though it was my first visit, it felt like I was a regular. The cake looked very professional and exactly as I'd requested. It tasted great, as well! We had the Plain Jane (vanilla). The cake itself was not overly sweet and the frosting was that classic homemade buttercream you know and love - just like grandma used to make! Overall, a great experience.

I've been a supporter of Muddy's Bake Shop for nearly ten years now, which is insane to think about! The location off Sanderlin was originally the hangout spot for my friends in high school and during normal times, we still love to meet there when we're all together in town. This was my first time to the Broad Avenue location even after passing it so many times on the new bike lanes. I'm very pleased with the social distancing measures they have in place and everything was done in a professional manner. I purchased one small box of Capote cupcakes for a friend and these two boxes for myself (one didn't make it home because I couldn't resist). No one turns down a Muddy's cupcake (or any of their other fabulous products) so remember to shop local and be safe out there!
