It is a very traditional pub with a lot of character. A nice stop for pre concert drinks. Conveniently located right next to a carpark, so an easy place to meet. Really friendly landlady.

As part of a university society, we booked the Ducie in December for a raffle event and it was amazing! The staff has been super kind and helpful, giving us the space for displaying the prizes and ensuring a lovely atmosphere throughout the evening! Whether you just want to go for a drink with your friends or you want to organise some fun event, I would 100% recommend the Ducie!

Such a lovely pub! A really cosy atmosphere and super accommodating owners. We've held a couple of events there and the owners have been so lovely and accommodating, while the space is great! After a recent nostalgic stroll around the campus it was a bonus to discover that the Ducie was still a tradtional pub serving real ale & cider. Long may it continue! Happy to raise a glass to Yvonne for all her hard work during very difficult times. Looking forward to my next visit in september.

Great little pub! Lovely owner and great selection of beers. One of the very few pubs left around the city center that feels like a real pub. Always very peaceful and pleasant to sit and enjoy a drink.

Really good pub! We visit every week after playing football and are never disappointed. Kevin and Yvonne were also kind enough to let us host our Xmas do there. Top selection of beers, friendly service and being able to order in food from outside is a lovely touch. There aren't many boozers like this left. Easy 5 stars

Awesome pub! One of few traditional pubs left near the city centre. It has a good range of well kept ales, good atmosphere and the owner is a really nice guy. Definitely coming back!
