When you are craving for foods and also need a neat and clean beautiful place to eat. Tongi is a best choice with delicious Indian foods and a peaceful atmosphere. And they have wonderful team.

I grabbed a takeout from Tongi. Prepared fast and was really nice. Would like to eat in next time as the decor is very nice and it has a lovely atmosphere.

My friends and I had a pleasant experience at Tongi, the food was tasty and the staff were very friendly and the general atmosphere was nice.
Two of our dishes were vegetable based curries which despite being tasty did seem to be full of mixed frozen style vegetables which I feel is lazy for a restaurant. Also our table was quite dusty/dirty from the front door being open.
I would return given the price point and overall nice experience

Food was delicious! Staff couldn’t be more attentive but left you to your food and drink but catered to when needed.

Food was excellent arrived at 19.30 and felt rushed. Otherwise good food and pleasant staff. Restaurant very quite and our party of 5 were squashed up on table by the door.
I think the staff just need to think a bit more about customer experience

Great new restaurant in Balham. Very authentic and delicious food, plus a bonus that it’s reasonably priced. The waiters were super friendly and efficient. Lovely restaurant inside too. Would definitely go back!

Really great curry - jalfrezi was spicy but not blow your socks off, naan was good and buttery, tikka masala creamy with a hint of spice and lamb bhuna was tender and delicious.
Good atmosphere, busy and popular.

Wow! What a curry and what service.
Ahsan (especially) & Masood were very warm and welcoming. His table service was very attentive.
The food was also delicious- and I’m from Tooting! I ordered the chicken madrass which was fiery yet tasty. My wife had the saag paneer which was also delicious. The paneer was soft as f**k! - which is hard to come by these days.
I’ve been waffling, but overall - I recommend this place highly and if your ever in Balham and looking for a very tasty curry - come Tongi!
