Love this place so much!

Food and bloody marys are to die for.

I recommend the squid. Its the best ive ever had. They also do a great choice of Bloody Marys.

The only annoying thing is this beer garden shuts around 11pm due to neighbours.

Chelsea has always been at the forefront for trendy restaurants. Set amongst the leafy suburbs and the shopping mecca that is King’s Rd, there are plenty to choose from. Making this neighbourhood even more of a foodie haven are programmes like ‘Made In Chelsea’ which heavily feature local restaurants and bars patronised by the young socialites of the area.

My affair with The Jam Tree started a few years ago now. Lost for a vibrant pub to go to that had a little something extra to offer and an eclectic list of cocktails, I thankfully stumbled upon this gem. I only lived about ten minutes away and now I live about 30 seconds away. Proud to call it my local, it has come up trumps every time. I’ve booked it for my birthday the last two years running and spent many a day and night there. Having noted that they were expanding their already well facilitated bar with a new loft space, I was pleased to attend the launch last week. The Jam Tree not only now boasts the loft space, but also a ground floor area filled with tables for eating and/or drinking and a lounge area to one side. There is also a beautiful beer garden, complete with an outside bar and a huge barbecue. The decking is multi-layered and it’s a great sun trap on a lazy summer afternoon. The food is fantastic and really has excelled over the years. I wasn’t so sure the first time I

Not only do they have a brunch session, with a Bloody Mary list as long as your arm, a welcome shake up to the Sunday Roast, which they also do, but they have a huge list of cocktails to keep you going. Keeping with the theme, you’ll notice that jam is included in a lot of their cocktails. It brings a concentrated flavour and a fresh approach to some tired drinks. Just a few of the beauties I tried were:
Gin ’n Juice – Bombay Sapphire gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur and Creme de Mure liqueur mixed with lime jam, lime juice and muddled with mint leaves and blueberries. This is a really refreshing and pretty cocktail. It’s elderflower and blueberry flavours are quite mild and so I feel it’s definitely a cocktail you could drink more and more

The Jam Tree Chelsea is a neatly packed away gastro pub located on the top end of the king’s road, lingering between Chelsea and Fulham, very near the Chelsea football stadium, far too near if you ask me. For a gastro pub in London beer gardens in SW6 are rarity but the Jam Tree boasts a good sized, sun trapped hangout lingering over the railway, inclusive of outdoor BBQ used to make their well known Friday hog roast (which is amazingly FREE!!), as long as you buy drinks of course.

I have been to the Jam Tree more times than I can remember and mostly had a good experience, Sunday roasts are a particularly favourite of mine, the pork belly is to die for. This time round the food was mixed, unfortunately, not quite as good as I remember it, but still good. Starters came out and were a real mixed bag. Prawn summer rolls with Malaysian salad and spicy dipping sauce was one of the blandest dishes I have had for a while, I know it’s meant to be a simple dish but this was just too plain.

Sotong manis, which is a sweet soy battered sticky squid was accompanied by a chilli and garlic dipping sauce, I order this dish on a regular occurrence and always thoroughly enjoy it. The light batter, which is extremely crispy is soaked in a sweet soy sauce while the chilli and garlic adds a kick and freshness.

For me the best starter and best value was the cola glazed old spot ham with deep fried pickles, chipotle mayo and tomatillo salsa with bread. Firstly the portion was huge and would be an ideal meal in itself for lunchtime. The sweet cola crust and thick ham are great with the salsas while the deep fried pickles are my favourite part, crispy and succulent.

Hungry? A nice little place on the Kings road. good food, the duck particularly good. As with somewhere in chelsea it is a touch expensive for what it is, but it does a job, namely that of providing you with a good feed before hitting the array of drinks on offer. The garden is a lovely area for a light ale on a summers eve and the downstairs bar makes it convenient to sit outside. Yes, an excellent and popular place, and no surprise it is expanding so rapidly.

It's such a lovely pub to have some (after work) drinks. Their cocktails are amazing (2 for 1 if you download their app) and totally recommend their burger!
