Hacon Kitchen + Bar

Situated in Lower Clapton you can’t miss Hacon Kitchen & Bar with its old banger car on the roof! The ‘garage’ style continues inside where the bar is decorated with an industrial vintage vibe – make sure you check out the lampshades! With only around 30 covers, Hacon has a small neighbourhood feel where you can spend a few hours chilling out. The USP of Hacon for me was the live music on a Saturday night with a local East Londoner, James Tashario, playing with his band in three different sets from 8.30pm. It is surprising how few places in London actually have live music so this is a real seller for me, particularly in a small venue! First things first. Hacon have a fantastic happy hour. All day Tuesday and Wednesday and Thurs – Sunday from 5-7pm you can get 2 x Hacon Larger for £6, 2 x house wines for £6 and any 2 cocktails for only £10. Real bargain. Hacon has a few of its “own cocktails” and all the classics. We tried the Thunder Bird:Gin, Orange Marmalade, Elderflower Cordial, Apple Juice, Lime Juice, Soda, Mint Leaves and the Green Goddess: Midori, Mango Vodka, Cointreau, Mango Puree, Lime Juice, Egg White – pretty strong I must say. The friendly bartender then said he would make us some cocktails off menu depending on what we liked. I had two gorgeous sweet cocktails and a baileys with rum and cinnamon. Definitely experiment with the menu – even outside happy hour the cocktails are reasonably priced and between £7.50-9. You must by now know how much I love small plates. Hacon offers main dishes but obviously I was drawn to the tapas / meze section which is inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. Also perfect if you just want a few snacks with your drinks (perhaps to line that stomach!). We had the Hummus served With Stone Baked Flat Bread and the Grilled Halloumi which were both delicious! Given we were quite peckish we also ordered the Patatas Bravas with spicy tomato sauce, Grilled Padron Pepppers, Chicken Skewer, Calamaeri and the Shrimps Skillet with garlic and chilli with flatbread – the sauce was amazing! Priced at around £3-6, these small dishes were perfect for sharing without breaking the bank. Very friendly staff at Hacon, great cocktails and small plates and, best of all, live music on a Saturday!

It's a very warm and cozy local bar. We've celebrated one of our friend's birthday and we really enjoyed it. Place offers happy hour everyday except Saturday night even so price are really cheap. Foods are really delicious it's not regularly pub taste level. There is also live music every Saturday night they play soft rock/blues mainly and they're really good. Staffs are really friendly shortly Hacon kitchen very nice place for having nice Saturday night out.

I went there for my birthday party. It was very warm welcome and all team really helped me to have a amazing night. The foods was very very delicious. Specially shrimps skillet, calamari, grilled cauliflower and grilled salmon. Amazing food with very reasonable prices. We have danced till 2am with dj's sets. This place is very ideal for those who wants to eat quality food and those who wants to celebrate there party's
