I've recently found Lexpress as a great place for a choice of takeaway breakfasts. A bacon roll (fresh, crusty roll with 3 slices of bacon) & a cappuccino for £3.50 - you can't go wrong!! Efficient, friendly service from the staff as well.

Easily the best tasting coffee near Cannon St. Very tasty and very well priced. Great selection of breakfast and lunch offerings too. Next time you're nearby try giving this independent your custom rather than a massive chain!

They do a £1 cappuccino, very welcome in an expensive city.
Never tried it but food buffet being setup for lunch always looks really appetising with large variety of options. Shame i'm not closer at lunch times.
