The Dartmouth Arms

I didn't eat here and I didn't even drink inside this pub but I popped in a couple of times to buy rounds for my friends outside during the York Rise street festival. Seems a nice, dark cosy pub inside with a DJ pumping out rousing music (even though there were Caribbean bands performing right outside in the street). The food stall outside (not sure if it was run by this pub?) was doing a roaring trade in takeaway hotdogs - I had a vegan one, it was OK but the carnivores I was with said their's were delicious.

Great hidden gem. Food was great, wine selection was great, recommendations from the waiter were great, service overall was great, atmosphere was amazing. I was there with a group of 4 and 1 kid, on a Friday night, there was a DJ playing nice jazzy and soul music, just perfect background music. Loved every bit of it. Tried 3 different starters and two different mains. Food quality really good. And I am very picky, so it s not easy for me to find places like that. Polenta fries, oyster mushrooms and seabrass were my favorites.

We rented the Dartmouth Arms as private hire for a Saturday afternoon for the second day of our wedding celebrations, following a walk and swim on the Heath. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Great space, great atmosphere. Delicious food and drinks. Ben was an excellent DJ. A firm London pub favourite. The Sunday roast is fantastic, got to be one of the best ones I've had in London too! A hidden gem for sure, which is more north of the city. Peaceful! Excellent drink selection and for a Sunday the only downfall I would say is they don't serve tea or coffee which would have gone so well with the desert at the end. The staff were really nice and helpful 😊 It's a short walk from Tufnell Park underground station and also the perfect place to head over the Hampstead Heath Park. Solid A**** LDT x
