Ihop

I brought my family and we were well taken care of by Mercy. She switched into bilingual mode to help communicate with all of us and attended everyone in my party with thoughtfulness. We met the manager, Daniella, who told us “Mercy will be taking care of you, she’s the best.” It put a smile on my face to hear a manager acknowledge an employee like that. And she was right, Mercy has earned the compliment. We were pleased with our experience.

UPDATE: I ended up going back after finding out that the ant problem was taken care of. We had the same server, and he didn't have an attitude! It was like we had a different person serving us. He was cheerful and very attentive. Now the food.. Everyone enjoyed the food, but I do have to say that my bacon and pancakes were a little overcooked. Maybe, because we went around 9 pm. I did say before that we would go earlier, but I wanted to see if I would get the same server and how that experience would be. Anyway, this trip was wonderful compared to the last trip. Note to self: I have to start taking pictures.😉 We arrived about a quarter to 10. We had to wait about 15 yo 20 minutes for the young man to serve us. Keep in mind that there was another family waiting. When he came, we told him that they were there before us . They then proceeded to let him know that they wanted to take out. With a complete attitude, he proceeded to let them know that they had the wrong menu, then he sat us. As we were looking at our mess, my granddaughter told us about ants all over the wall at the front. But she wanted to stay. When the same young man came to get our order, we asked for more time. He got another attitude 😒 and said "Well okay then." So know we are ready to order. I then explained to him that we wanted to take advantage of the promotion for the kids eating free, and I saw that it ended at 10 pm. Could we still get it. With another attitude, he says, "Well, no! The computer will not allow me to put in the promotion code." I then say okay thanks. By this time, my granddaughter saw some more ants, and then we were ready to go. Between his attitude and the ants, we were done! Maybe we will try another restaurant, and we will differently go earlier. 🙂

It was only one waiter in the restaurant! All the time we spent there we only saw one person taking care of waiter and hostess. He was great!!! Excellent service, everything was exactly as we ordered, he wasn't stressed, he was taking our order in a friendly and patient manner, checking we were ok and refilling our drinks.

Wow, I've been to many ihops across the country and this visit was so pleasant. Our waitress was Brooke, she was a great assertive communicater, confident and attentive. We did have one issue and she took care of it right away, so it seemed non existent. Everything was clean. The food was great. I am glad that this restaurants had 4 stars on here, because my son tried to talk us out if ihop as we usually have problems at other locations. Thanks Brooke for your amazing service and making our road trip better because of it!
