The prices are not as advertised. On the menu it said $8.50 for a Cajun Chicken burger but it came out $10. The menu is old and has not been changed. A waitress said she didn't think that the website has been updated. The fries were good. Not too crispy not too raw. I couldn't finish the chicken burger as the meat was too dry. The bun was stale and falling apart. When I mentioned it, they said they usually grill it but they didn't they didn't for this one. I did get a free German cake because of it. But the cake was a tad too dry and almost tasteless. At one point I thought the frosting was watery because it it was too sweet. They said that this was the oldest restaurant in Knoxville which is why we came here.

I will start with something positive the fries were excellent they were loaded all the way through. The burger however felt like I was eating a pile of compost or vomit. When the manager came to ask about the food I was honest and told him I was not looking for compensation just the meat held a lot of water and fell apart before I could get a couple of bites and actually made me lose my appetite. He handled it with absolute poor customer service and hospitality with a disgusting look on his face and walked away without even apologizing very poor customer service not friendly at all. I tried to be as polite as possible and honest so that they can fix the issue.Anyhow the plate in the picture is the burger after a couple of bites it has completely fallen apart and I needed a fork to finish it which I could barely finish.

The mushroom swiss burger was great, y wife didn't much care for the Cajun chicken sandwich. Fries were very good. Volunbeer was ok but not their product. The menus available were very old and had old prices on them that we still got charged the current price. That was the difference between $8.50 and $11 on some items.

The used to be a really good place to eat, this was definitely our last trip. Service was awful. Food was okay. Did I mention the service was awful? Out of ice. Did I mention the service was awful? The waitress took all the time to clean tables, while I'll food sat in the window getting cold. Kitchen help went somewhere to buy several bags of ice, he broke the ice on the dirty floor before dumping it in the fountain coke machine along with all the dirt particles and hair off the floor. Good luck to you all, hope u all find a way to stay in business.

What do you do when you run into an old friend in a new city? Go to lunch together! She suggested this gem that is near hear place and my brother's new house. There is lots of seating inside and plenty of parking. They are known for their hamburgers and have some fun options! Apparently Knoxville is also known for their steamed sandwiches. What do you do when you can't decide between the two? Order both and split them :) We got the turkey steamed sandwich with smoked cheddar cheese. It came with a pickle spear and was delicious! We also go the The Haystack, Topped with hickory smoked bacon, American and provolone cheese and fried onion straws. The fries were also pretty good. I would definitely eat here again.

Dare I say, the superior Sam and Andy’s? I had a steamed Turkey and Swiss. As usual, service was beyond expectations, the ding room attendant was engaged, speaking with obvious regulars and checking on everyone. Great local, great food, great service.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They recommended the burger because of my first time being there, the toppings in the seasoning tasted good on the burger but the patty was very bland and everything fell apart when I was eating it. It was a pre-made frozen burger patty with pickled jalapen os which just happened to be not one of my favorites. The fries were cold soggy and tasted old.
