Chocolate Monkey

While doing some Christmas shopping in the mall tonight, I decided to stop by and get a couple sweet treats to take home to my family. The sweet lady Pamela was so very sweet and helpful in helping me decide what I should choose. Needless to say the family loved the treats and we will definitely be back!! The kind and helpful service along with the chocolate goodness made for a great visit. I most definitely give Chocolate Monkey and their sweet employee 10 out of 10!!!

Went here for the first time extremely poor experience as I renter the store I was not acknowledged both girls acted as if I wasn’t there after a white woman walked in one of the ladies immediately asked her how could she help and purchased a cookie. I then stood behind her in line because I thought maybe they didn’t see me. After helping her she walked away from the register without acknowledging me then started to empty the trash.

The young lady at the food court Chocolate Monkey was very helpful and polite. She had more patience than I have though. There was 3 females sitting in front of the area being very rude, loudly making fun of people including her. They need to look in the mirror they have no right to talk down on anyone!

Behind the fudge and other wonderful treats lies the staff who prepares them. While the food may leave you to believe this is a wonderful establishment, it’s much different for the people who work here. My girlfriend started a job for this company, she showed up to work and on her first day dismisses early because it was a slow day. The next day she was off, did she relax, watch tv, play video games, nope. She was rushed to the ER with sharp pains in the bottom right side of her stomach. She was kept there for many hours, starting at 9pm and finally discharged at 6am. She was given a doctors note and told to rest. When she called in to inform the manager “Melissa” that she would be unable to work that day do to the fact she had pretty much just left the hospital, she was treated with a rude and condescending reply. She still complied with the request to send in the doctors slip, but as anyone should, added that she was unappreciative for the way she was previously treated. Melissa further attempted to conflict the situation and she [my girlfriend] asked to speak with someone higher up. The manager at this point called back and Terminated her [my girlfriend]. So if you wish to work here and have a medical emergency, remember, their store needs come well before yours. This is the problem with businesses today, they believe the own you if you’re in their employ, they want notice from you without affording you the same right. They are rude and condescending. I hope through your deliberation of an opinion on this place, you factor in the other half, employ treatment. This is a place I won’t support nor shop at any longer, as through extension that would make me a co conspirator in employee abuse.
