Very nice Coffee Shop in Old City Knoxville. The atmosphere is inviting, warm, artistic. Windows to Jackson are an attraction in themselves. Lovely place to visit. I notice the people are very quite in this shop (library quite). Large back room that is removed from front area may be good choice for anyone that likes less people in their space.
Also, they display art of local Artists and photographers. A very good addition to Old City Knoxville.

This cafe was pleasant. They were out of some things but accommodating to a request they'd never heard of. I ordered an upside down Caramel Macchiato and I got a funny look. I had to explain it. Nevertheless it was delicious and satisfying. Parking might be tricky and limited. They also sell local artwork and offer a study room upstairs. Overall I'd say it is place I'll visit again, if I'm downtown.

Came here on a lark in June 2021, and loved it. When I planned a return trip to Knoxville, Awaken was definitely on my list of places to come back to. The Black Bear latte is just so good. The bacon breakfast burrito was also tasty and the perfect size. I also appreciate convenient bike racks.

Good stuff. I don't drink coffee but I got the hot chocolate and a chai latte while I was there, and they were pretty good. You can put any flavoring on the chalkboard into your drink, which allows great combos. Caramel hot chocolate ftw

Really liked Awaken! The interior is beautiful, very appealing and inviting. The staff was very friendly so we felt welcomed instantly. My iced decaf Americano was perfect which I appreciated because a lot of decaf can be stale and/or boring. Their vegan gluten-free oatmeal sandwich was off the chain! Also love that the showcase local art! Small businesses supporting one another is the best!

We stopped here on the way to Nashville and it was the perfect stop. Quaint coffee shop in a historic building. Plenty of coffee flavors and options! Coffee wasn’t as hot as I would like but next time I would request it to be extra hot.
