Grand View Restaurant

The bar at echo point was very accomodating. It was a very foggy day and there wasn’t much of a view but the staff made all the difference with our dietary requests and outdoor seating with heaters on in the middle of March. Adam was also very lovely in answering our questions, finding out information we needed and taking our orders. Would highly recommend this bar for both food and customer service (and no doubt good views on a less foggy day).

Waited 40 minutes for a bowl of pasta and a sausage roll before throwing in the towel and asking for our money back. The 'manager' returned the amount with ill-grace and got a little shouty as the food arrived while the refund was being organised. Have been semi regular customers for some time and the service was fine when the South American owners were present. I wonder if they are still the proprietors. Shan't be returning

Very disappointing meal, over priced & over cooked fish meal, waited over 35 minutes wait for meal, they didn’t bother to let you know the soup had finished. Lots of staff behind the counter (6 people) not very helpful. You have a captive market so sad that the standard was not very good. You are located at a prime Australian tourist spot, food & service should be world class. If there was another restaurant at Eco Point we would chosen that one. Wouldn’t go back.

My burger, despite specifically asking for it to be well done, was received lukewarm. The burger was also packed full of pickles to the point where it was pretty much the only thing I could taste. My wife got the charcuterie board and whilst most of the meats were okay, the roast beef (at least that what we think it was) was inedible. The bar staff were also very short and came across as though they were doing us a favour by taking our order. Avoid this place unless you have absolutely no other options.
