We were in town and happened to see Waiahole Poi Factory on our way to view a venue. Their poi is AMAZING. I got the Tahitian Sweet Lady dessert and it is delicious. The banana with the haupia ice cream melts in your mouth and it’s not too sweet. Would recommend to stop by if you are ever around the east side of the island!

This place was recommended to us by the locals for authentic Hawaiian food. I will say, if you love Filipino food, you will absolutely love Waiahole Poi Factory! I recommend getting laulau and chicken long rice. Both are flavorful and have the same vibe as filipino comfort food. I am so glad we stopped by here. It's worth going out of your way to eat here!

I wish they had a pace to sit and eat but this is only a take away place. The food is amazing and very affordable. Loved it.

We happened to stop because we saw a line outside the restaurant. Best u-turn I’ve ever made. We ordered the Sweet Lady ice cream and the laulau + beef combo plate. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you it’s the best meal I’ve had recently. The meats, the flavor…everything was perfection. I can’t recommend this place enough.

At a beautiful location with a nice friendly staff! This was my first time in Hawaii and I really appreciated how welcoming and kind they were. We ate right outside and everything was delicious from the chicken long rice to the squid and they even gave us extra poi because we enjoyed it so much! Next time we are on the island we will definitely return to this gem!

Food was good but not amazing. We’ve never tried poi before so didn’t know what to expect but didn’t enjoy it. It was just bland, not sure if it’s meant to be like this? Kalua pork was tender and yummy though. The squid luau was tasty but had no squid in it? The chicken long rice is like a chicken noodle soup, and the salsa were tasty. The meal was a decent sized portion and could be shared between two for those who are not used to American sized servings.
The most disappointing was the dessert sweet lady which is taro and coconut ice cream. The coconut icecream just tasted like basic vanilla but the taro was nice, not overly sweet.

This place was recommended to us by a local as a place with real Hawaiian food. Found out I'm not a big fan of traditional Hawaiian food (although their Kalua pork was tasty) but it was VERY authentic. The ice cream, on the other hand, was excellent! Worth every penny and we came back several times for more. I especially loved the Sweet Lady. Try it.

I was born and raised on Oahu but somehow never stopped at this local gem until my latest visit when my sister took me around the island with our first stop at Waiahole Poi Factory to enjoy the "Sweet Lady of Waiahole" which is warm kulolo with a scoop of haupia ice cream. Delicious 😋 and highly recommended for a dessert that's not too sweet!
If you're hungry, the menu is loaded with local Hawaiian favorites like Lau Lau! The Kaneohe born woman at the counter who took our order was full of aloha spirit and had never been there until her son told her to go, then loved it so much that she applied for a job at Waiahole Poi Factory where you will always get the feeling of Old Hawaii!!!!!!

We left Oahu for a few days, but the taste remains unforgettable, especially the delicious pig laulau and sweet lady dessert. The pig laulau, wrapped in edible leaves, reminded me of Chinese Zongzi dumplings. 🤣 Now I understand why my American friends couldn't grasp Zongzi; they also eat leaves.
This restaurant offered takeout only, but we discovered a fantastic dining spot. If you visit nearby Kualoa Regional Park, you'll find shaded tables and chairs with lovely sea views. Our family had a fantastic time, making this a truly memorable experience for us.

Great poi options. Recommend getting a meal to try a few menu items. Desserts are wonderful. Could use a few more chairs for eating on site. Order dessert ONLY at the pickup counter to save time.
