Morgan's Island Grill

First time visitor to Morgan's Island Grill and I must say, I've never been a true fan of Jamaican food because of the heat in most of their dishes; however, Morgan's was a great hit with me and my friends. I had the bbq Jerk Turkey wings, Curry Shrimp, Friend Shrimp. All were very tasty and bursting with flavor. The bbq Jerk was a mild flavor (which is perfect for me). I would love to try that on other meats. The curry shrimp was delightful. It had a small amount of heat but it wasnt overpowering at all. Great amount of Shrimp paired with the rice. The fried shrimp as appetizers were freshly fried! I was pleasantly surprised how fresh the shrimp was. Friend perfectly golden brown. I would certainly get those again without a doubt! The garden salad was 👌🏾. I'm just waiting for them to sell the vinegarette in the jars! It was a very delicious. Tangy, yet sweet. Great pairing with the blue cheese and grapes! Most importantly, the customer service was absolute stellar!!! We were served by head chef/owner and his pleasant staff. I only had to get up to push back from the table. The staff ensured we had everything we wanted/needed. Quick food service, even though seafood items were all prepared to order! 5 stars because Morgan Island Grill deserves it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Morgan's Island Grill is incredible! My husband and I had them for our wedding and it was top notch! My guests felt right back in Jamaica! We are extremely happy and appreciative of your food. Thank you for your special wedding gift! Your Rum cake was delicious! Kenroy, I am forever grateful for your service!

I have a love/hate relationship with "jerk" menus because the flavors never seem to meet expectations. A lot of times, we go into a Caribbean restaurant hungry and leave disappointed. But not at Morgan's! What an awesome restaurant! The flavors are simply wonderful and Mr Morgan himself was there to greet guests and check on their experience. I had the Goat Curry Roti and it was literally the size of my head and filled with excellent flavors. Jerk wings were quietly spicy and grew into a forest fire as I ate the whole plate. Just a great, great experience.

Loved this cozy restaurant! The food was delicious! We sat outside after ordering our food. I had the oxtail with rice and peas, cornbread, and a delicious cabbage salad, which was so crunchy and fresh. My husband had goat with the same sides. Everything tasted fresh and honestly took us back to Jamaica. Spices were on point, and what topped it off was the owner taking time to come outside and ask us how the food was. He was appreciative that we were there supporting his restaurant. He shared with us that the food is fresh, no msg is used, only natural spices. Even better! Definitely recommend for a fresh island taste! Really loved this place!

Three stars from me because the lady who took my order was very pleasant. I’ve been trying to find a Caribbean restaurant that I like in Jersey. This place was a miss for me. I did not enjoy the turkey wings. They were supposed to be mild bbq flavored. The meat was tough and way too sweet. The Mac and cheese was okay. I don’t think I will return.
