Edit: was 5 star but reducing to 4 stars after last visit; prices have went up, was already quite expensive, also had an oily feel which left an unpleasant coating in the mouth. Excellent flavours and friendly service - we travel from the other side of Glasgow. Best ice cream in Glasgow.

Finally tried this Glasgow legend! It was SO good. Really lives up to its reputation, and the service was excellent. I hear it inspired La Gelatessa in the southside. The USP of here is the toasted marshmallow they can pipe onto your ice cream - it looked amazing! I had the pistachio and the coffee custard - wow. Both excellent, and the coffee ice cream is the best I've had in a long time! 😃 Just wish it had been sunny so I could've got a better picture! I have a feeling this'll be my post exam treat next year (but let's not think about that yet....) 😭😆

If you want authentic ice cream, with real flavours, you can't look past this place. There are other places that are well marketed, such as Loop and Scoop, but I've yet to taste anything they produce that matches Nowita. Fantastic ice cream, great location, friendly staff. What more could you ask for. 5 stars.

Congratulations on the business owner for surviving a year, that is a major milestone, and hopefully the first of many more. A good friend took me to Nowita and I just ordered what she was having. So I have no idea what I had, except that it was two scoops. And a cone. My friend is the conneiseur of ice cream, so I will try and get her to review the product. I just tasted very good ice cream. Not being the fastest eater, I tried my best to savour mine, and I am delighted to report that I had no sticky fingers or spillages, despite my desire to take things slowly. Meanwhile, my friend, she wolfed hers down super quickly, to then berate me as dull, boring and slow. Hence my advice is to pace yourself, go at a moderate rate, so you can enjoy the whole ice cream without having to speed eat the final part. Would I go back again? My heart says yes. But it depends on my friend and if she invites me again. I will update this review with more technical details about the product if that happens. Anyway, congratulations to the owner, he has done well to get his business past the tricky first year. I wish him all the best for the future.

Been very impressed with Nowita and love that it's a nice local place to take a stroll to before/after dinner with the late opening hours. I've enjoyed various flavours but particularly liked the sponge cake (maybe it was a matcha sponge cake) ice cream a couple of months back.

Exceptional customer service. Exceptional ice cream. Exceptional place. It was an absolute delight coming across this ice cream shop. The owner was very lovely and welcoming. Did you know you can get fresh Italian meringue as an ice-cream topping here? Highly recommended for those who don't mind a few extra calories! I highly recommend the pistachio flavour and caramel & coffee

Amazing ice cream, you can really tell it's made with good quality fresh ingredients. The Pink Lady Apple sorbet and salted caramel were both delicious. They have lots of innovative flavours, homemade ice lollies, various toppings and waffle cones, something for every taste.

Honestly some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Every flavour we’ve tried has been fantastic, and we love that there’s new flavours each time we come back. So come back we do! Lots of gluten free options too, and allergens are always mentioned. Love your work, and your ice cream!

Had a delicious pistachio ice cream on a proper waffle cone tonight. Delicious! I’ve previously had their lemon meringue which was fantastic. I love how they change their flavours so each time you go in there’s something new to try.

Amazing ice-cream, each new flavour I try instantly becomes my new favourite. Great to see locally sourced ingredients used and Jill and Jamie often collaborate with other small businesses for collaboration flavours. The shop is beautiful and the owners are just as sweet as their products. I would highly recommend their human ice-cream and know several pups that would vouch for their dog friendly ice-cream too!
