How Sweet It Is

This is the best cake ever!!! Lila made a gorgeous cake for our wedding that was exactly what we asked for. Neither my husband nor I are huge cake people usually, but this cake and cupcakes were the best we've ever had. We did almond, lavender, angel food, and chocolate cupcakes as well. We have had many guests reach out to us about how delicious they were. A few of my friends had warned me before the wedding that we would have lots of leftover cupcakes/cake, but we didn't have one single one. Lila was so amazing to work with for our wedding in October! The pumpkin cake we envisioned turned out perfect and the cupcakes looked adorable and were a huge hit. Our guests especially loved the S'mores and Caramel Apple cupcakes! We had guests with dietary needs and they loved the gluten free/vegan cupcakes. Lila was very responsive in all communications and was great at coming up with creative ideas to bring my vision to life. Plus everything tasted so amazing! Eileen and her team are cake ninjas! We loved our wedding cake and grooms cake...not just because they looked amazing, but they tasted amazing too! At first, looking at all the cake/filling/flavor combinations I was a little nervous. But after having our consult with Eileen and talking through our flavor ideas we ended up with a great cake...and the cake coma helped a little too (oh, the cake coma)! We changed a few things after tasting what we selected for the cake coma and we were very pleased with the end result. Eileen was more than patient with us and our questions/changes through the cake ordering process.

Eileen's cake for our wedding was fantastic! It's worth every penny, and without a doubt you will get what you pay for. We decided to do a 2 tier, the top was chocolate strawberry and the bottom was a pumpkin spice, for an October/fall wedding. Flavors were out of this world. Eileen was amazing and if you choose to have her go set-up prior to your reception, she will get it done. We sent her a pinterest picture approximately how to arrange flowers on the cake, and it turned out beautiful.

My husband and I were living out of state when planning our Duluth wedding. Eileen was able to meet with us while we were back for an extremely short busy weekend. I knew the design I wanted but was completely clueless about flavors, fillings etc. She walked us through everything they offered, helped us narrow it down and took all the notes. Within the week she had sent me a list of what I had liked the best with price sheets. The next time I was in town she made us sample cakes for us to try of our top flavors. They were all delicious and exactly what we wanted. We finally settled on different flavor/filling combinations for each layer (which I didn't know was possible!) and were all set for the big day. The day of the wedding came and I honestly didn't have a single thought about the cake until I entered the room with our guests. It was am amazing feeling to not have a single thought of doubt or anxiety about something so important to a wedding. I completely trusted Eileen to do a deliver it on time, have it look flawless and taste delicious and she exceed on every point. I highly recommend her for anyone needing a special occasion cake. She is great to work for and the pictures of her work show her talent.
