Good food and atmosphere and excellent service, but very very pricey. If you want to dine frequently, it's best to get the shalimar gold card which makes the meal more worth it. Otherwise £24 for a main course just isn't affordable at all.

BEST CURRY RESTAURANT IN DERBY!
I’m a regular customer here and I wasn’t happy with something so I sent a email to the manager which was easy to find not impossible like some places.
Not only did they rectify my order but they were so pleasant about the hole situation .
Couldn’t be happier they wil bend over backwards to help! Definitely worth a try ! You won’t be disappointed.

I was recommended shalimar gold for a takeaway and I felt like I should write a review because the food that we ordered was 'the best'! Excellent quality, vegetarian choice perfect, cost and delivery perfect! This restaurant will be our go to from now on. I highly recommend.

Food and Service here is always very good. However, the prices have significantly increased. I couldn't find a nice curry for less than £20 (without rice or nan) - some on the menu are approaching £30. I appreciate that the cost of raw ingredients has gone up, but other local competitors are managing to stay below £20..... 🤨

Myself and 2 other friends came here, absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Ash and the rest of the guys were spot on, 10/10 service, the food was outstanding also, the garlic chilli chicken is delightful, freshly cooked, we even took some home so we could enjoy it again.
We Will definitely be going back whilst we are down here, highly recommend if you want quality service and food. 10/10!!!

Easy making reservation online. Warm welcome on arrival. Tasteful interior and table setting. Timely, attentive, but not intrusive, table service. Excellent food and drinks menus. Food first rate. A little expensive for a curry house but in this case you get what you pay for.

Amazing food and really superb service. I am very impressed. Paul and the team did a super job looking after us. Super curry sauces and meat so tender and well cooked. Also spices balanced and nan light and fully fluffy. I stopped eating curry out as most places in the area are average. This is a first rate place. Well done and thanks, you earned a repeat customer! Back today and still amazing.

We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We were allocated our table as soon as we arrived.
The order was taken quickly. The food arrived in good time and it was delivered by their in-house robot called Bella. Jimmy is the star member of their team who looked for us very well.
On a separate note, last few years I was also evaluating the the toilets of each restaurant while visiting. The bathroom was quirky clean.
