Lucky's Grill

The staff are great, very friendly. We dined here on a Tuesday night on a stop over before heading to the Gold Coast. The value for money was excellent but the cooking times are slow so expect a wait. For a Tuesday night and it not being full i would expect the meal a bit quicker but when it arrived the $18 steak and chicken schnitzel were really good and the steak was cooked exactly as asked for (medium rare) so worth the wait!

So..tonight I enjoyed the record of waiting one hour and ten minutes for a simple Parmigiana meal. After eating here for the best part of one hundred times over many years, I am aghast at the glacial pace of service. And no, my expectations were not met, and neither were those of the others I witnessed asking for their meals. New Decor, but what's the point.

My family and I dined here while passing by Coffs Harbour. We all ordered steak. We were not told that we had to collect the food ourselves or where to collect it. The service we recieved was shy of unwelcoming. The attendant took his time greeting us while chatting with the bartender, and the server who brought water to our table rudely asked "where do you want this?". I expect friendly service from any restaurant. The salad carrots and cucumber were soggy and each of our plates had barely 10 Chips on them. I don't understand if they were low on chips or just being plain stingy. However, I will say that the kitchen staff were polite.
