A very homey feel. Good service, delicious food, big portions for a very good price. I'd definitely be back. I gave them a 4 stars because they brought out our dishes all at different times. We were almost finished with dinner and getting full when they brought out the last dish.

I just got a short pixie haircut from Grace. It’s one of the best haircuts I’ve had in my life! She is so skilled and so fast! I was recommended by brother in law’s coworker and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made :)

A very homey feel. Good service, delicious food, big portions for a very good price. Great family owned Korean restaurant with food that has authentic flavor. Not a bbq place but rather a traditional soup/chi gae place. Always best food, friendly service along with reasonable price! One of the Best one in town for Korean Food!

My parents like this. Close to aunt's house. Easy to run/ walk when car too small. Great food. Kids love duk gook. Rice and barley good. Prices really great compared to Portland. Ate twice and still delicious

Gettin jigae with it!
I eat a lot of Korean food. Who likes Korean food? Me!! I just can't get enough! Whether it's the unlimited banchan or the spicy soups, give me Korean food or give me death! Okay, maybe not so much that......but I do enjoy Korean food!
I first became aware of Jangkumyine via the Best of Yelp:Cerritos listing on my home page. I've dined at neighboring Sushi Gallery before, but I've never noticed this little gem till now. To say I've found a new favorite is an understatement.
Quite popular for lunch, Jangkumyine has various lunch items for only $5.99. My choice du jour was the kimchi jigae
Boiling hot, spicy & filled with healthy greens, tofu and various meats, the kimchi jigae was hearty & warming to the soul. Not for those that don't like a little spice. Sweat came running down my forehead with each spoonful of the fiery broth. Very good.
Can't have Korean w/o all the banchan! My favorite is the dotorimuk-muchim (seasoned acorn jelly)
Diners can have either cold tea (I'm not sure what kind. I asked, but they didn't know the English name) or hot barley tea.
For a small restaurant, table seating was sufficient. The place soon became packed, with myself being the only gringo until around noon. I nice older Korean lady waiting for her to-go order sat with me, letting me know of her favorite eats around town, like where to get some good patbingsu. She was suprised when I told her I like soondae & soondubu. I even spoke a few Korean words to her. I'm just glad she didn't call me "babo" ;p
Parking is in a small private lot shared by Casa de Market Liquor, Sushi Gallery, Fantastic Cafe etc. Service was friendly, if a little slow.
Gamsahabnida, Jangkumyine! Cheap prices, authentic food and being closeby firmly makes you a go-to place in my book. Expect to see more of my smiling face soon! ;p
