You may have difficulty here if you don’t speak Spanish, as I did being the only white guy in the restaurant. But honestly it made the experience 10x better and the food was great. I’m definitely coming back!!

First timer. Was pretty much empty when I showed up for dinner arund 7pm. An hour later, it got super packed. Parking was easy to find. Don't park here after 11pm because your car will get booted. Food was delicious. Complimentary chips and salsa was delicious as well. Was kind of difficult placing my order since I speak no Spanish and my waitress spoke very little English but I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Would most likely return. Pictures on Google show margaritas are served here but when I asked for one they said they don't have any. Only beer.

9am tacos hit different, they were lovely and the service was especially sweet. 16$ for 3 tacos and a horchata, which comes with a lot of tortilla chips and hot sauce when eating in.

I highly recommend Taco More. It’s authentic regional Mexican food. The ambience is humble—not fancy. The staff is attentive and polite. The orders come out of the kitchen at a reasonable time. Staff is friendly.

Love this place! They have pozole every day of the week and amazing tacos. The table salsa is delicious and served warm.

This hole is the wall hits the spot. True Mexican delights abound. No queso. No guacamole. Very few dishes with cheese or avocado. (Because the region this restaurant highlights - those items are not a big part of it’s cuisine) I fell in love with the Bria (Goat) soup and the Carne Asada con nopalitos. The salsa is both hot (flavor) and warm (temp). Be aware two music venues have made their homes on either side of this remnant of an east side Austin time gone by - sometimes both venues have shows going at the same time. Which can make parking (which is otherwise easy) a nightmare. (And fair warning to the music crowd: I saw them booting cars that were from the music venues - east side is not playing with their warning signs about parking) The servers and staff mainly speak Spanish so be prepared to be respectful of this when you come. They are gracious and kind with my terrible attempts at their language - but they also see my genuine attempts to be respectful and they payed attention to how much I appreciate their business, service, and food. I am not the target audience for this establishment. I am grateful and respectful while there. If people can be aware of their manners at fine dining, I hope we can also do the same for meals that are about understanding, respecting, and embracing the culture that is being shared. You can actually (for now) still see the Texas Capital building from the front porch. This tiny place has a spectacular view of downtown Austin and the Oracle campus. It seems almost a visual indicator of how this tiny but fantastic place is also still there - spectacular in its own quite way, holding on.

Excelente restaurante mexicano! The food was outstanding, and the service was very friendly (in Spanish). Parking is convenient and they accept credit cards. don’t forget to ask for their desserts as well. Unfortunately, they don’t have coffee, but they make it up with aguas frescas and soda options.

Definitely authentic! I come here often for the birria tacos. Awesome. I would prefer the shell to be fried more crispy but other than that, awesome.

Service was prompt, our waitress was attentive. We got several different tacos and the birria, and they were good. I see what people were saying about the stale chips, but I think they’re homemade (and ours were crunchy and salted well, so we liked them!). Fair warning, the salsa that comes with the chips is spicier than your average red salsa, so if you’re like me it might be a bit much - but it burned so good and was tasty! 😂 Overall it was a nice experience.
