Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar exceeded expectations during my recent happy hour experience. The service, notably from bartender David and the entire team behind the bar, was exceptional. As a local weight-loss and aesthetic surgeon, finding a nearby place to unwind after a long day of work is crucial, and Fleming's is an excellent choice. Also, I especially appreciate the inclusion of healthy menu options with calorie information—a thoughtful touch that aligns perfectly with my profession & lifestyle.

First of all the steak I order was really good but the salad for $15 was NOT worth it, it had almost 5 walnuts and poor in the cranberries. The meat was good and the beef carpaccio, they do give you a ton of bread but that is pretty much it. SERVICE! Okay the hostess does not have the best attitude and was for my taste a little mean, but the waitress was so nice and kind my boyfriend and I. The atmosphere is pretty much older people in late 30s or late 40s, it’s missing a good DJ so it can create a better atmosphere, everything was clean and organize. On the food again the lemonade was missing sugar but the portions are good and the price on the steaks are reasonable.

Ever since moving to Austin in 2005, I have been going to Flemings for every special occasion imaginable. Birthdays, friends outings, business meetings, holiday gatherings, dates, company parties, anniversary dinners, and everything in between. While the food has always been spectacular, we go for the service. It’s not easy to find a restaurant where the people serving you have been there just as long as you’ve been coming. And despite knowing so much about them and their families, they are always professional, and extremely attentive. (It’s like as if they appreciate your loyal patronage! ;-) Other things worth mentioning are the attention to detail (steaks are always cooked perfectly to order, are juicy and flavorful), they have an excellent wine selection (and they’re quite great at recommending one according to your tastes), a full bar (stocked with premium selection of liquor), and a warm atmosphere of which we always enjoy spending special occasions in. Long time server Kerry is the most pleasant and attentive waitress, who’s always nearby when you need her, but never ever rushing you along, and James the general manager runs a tight ship and is constantly engaging with customers and staff throughout the night with his personable presence. It’s all about the people, and that’s why this place is special. I highly recommend getting a little dressed up for a change, and spending a special occasion here.

The food is really delicious, and the service is excellent, in fact the server named Jr. was in training, and he was exceptional he speaks Spanish and English and did a great job. I really liked the dessert with the carajillo. I highly recommend this is an excellent place to spend a nice time with friends and family.

I wish that I could give 3.5 stars... The atmosphere is nice, just loud, not what I expect with a "high-end" restaurant. The food was just okay. They covered the very small scallops with a hot sauce witch covered up the delicate flavors of the scallops. Our server, Lauren, made up for it. She was great.

We absolutely loved our experience at Flemings! My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary. They sat us in a side booth, with confetti hearts and a Happy Anniversary card. Our waiter Sébastien was absolutely wonderful. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. They provided us with complimentary champagne and chocolates at the end of the night! His knowledge of red wine choices led us to an amazing bottle of wine. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had! The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the dry age was the way to go! The lava cake was the perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion as they made us feel like a million bucks! Absolutely will be returning!
