Food was delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the beef tenderloin. The apple crostata was very tasty. The drinks were good and strong. We will definitely return.

Was there for a friend’s after rehearsal dinner. Ris made the occasion very special and the food was excellent! Also, Ris is a tireless supporter of the community.

I brought two colleagues here yesterday for lunch. Everything was perfect from the warm hospitality to the menu selection and delivery/ execution. Food was delicious and I can’t wait to return. We all had the kale salad with salmon. Thank you Ris, the hardest working woman in DC!

Great accommodations for our large (20 person) party (reservation in advance). Delicious, rich, flavorful options for everyone (vegetarians included). Attentive staff kept the water and wine refills (and silverware replacement) smooth and frequent. Would happily take a large group here again.

Had dinner at Ris before going to a Kennedy Center performance. Absolutely wonderful meal starting with cucumber gazpacho..so refreshing & flavorful. I then had the best mussels since moving to DC. I was so glad that they came with 2 crusty slices of bread to dip because the sauce was outstanding! Split dessert with my friend..warm peach costata with ice cream. The pastry crust was so good & flaky and the peaches were fresh. Our server was David & he was nice & knowledgable & attentive. Kudos to the Chef!

Salmon was delicious… moist, and perfectly balanced flavors. Mussels were tender and broth inventively delightful. Linguini was rich and luscious. The entire meal was flawless. One of the best restaurants in DC, full stop.

At the suggestion of a friend, I came to Ris for the meatloaf dinner, which they only serve on Mondays (if there are leftovers, they'll add it to the Tuesday lunch menu). It is served with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered the spaghetti squash with hazelnuts, cheese, and pomegranate pips. And to drink, I had the raspberry lime Ricky (non-alcoholic).
The entree was tasty and satisfying. I wanted to like the side dish, but it ate a little too sweet for me. I ended up watering down the Ricky a bit to tame the sweet-tart drink.

The food was lovely, the service warm and friendly, from everyone who helped us. It’s nice to see a place firing on all pistons after being around for 13 years.

Absolutely phenomenal venue. Was in town for a work conference, and ended up visiting Ris three times. Never disappointed. The cocktails are fantastic, but the food. WOW.
