Cracker Barrel

Average “ American “ fare. We had the fried chicken and the sides were Mac and Cheese, fried okra, chicken and dumplings, and biscuit. The biscuits are wonderful, just FYI. The food was relatively good and the best thing about chain restaurants is that you know what you’re getting. For me when I’m traveling, that’s a great thing and that’s comforting. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very good and our server was very friendly and professional. Of course there is also all the fun merchandise throughout the front of the restaurant.

We usually don't have any issues at Cracker Barrel. This particular CB wasn't great. It wasn't even packed but our food wasn't served to us until 24 minutes after we ordered. It would have been fine except my husband's chicken and dumplings only had 4 tiny pieces of chicken in it. We won't return to this CB. The waitress was friendly and nice.

I ordered online and when I arrived to pick up I was informed they ran out of that special. No attempt to call me for a second choice. However they were very very helpful and fast preparing my second choice while I waited. Ultimately my hotel room dinner was excellent. Although they did forget to give me salad dressing for my salad. Regardless I appreciated their attempt to quickly fill my replacement order, the great customer service, positive attitude and the food was good too.

The Food and customer service was excellent. The biscuits are so soft they melt right in your mouth. I love their coffee, the rainbow trout with mashed potatoes and broccoli was so delicious and cooked to perfection. If I can give more stars I would. Thanks Cracker Barrel for the wonderful experience.

I had a breakfast item. The grits were the lumpiest I have ever had in my life and were almost cold when served. The hash brown cheese item was very much undercooked. The hash browns were not browned at all. The rest of the meal was barely warm when it arrived. I gave the service, cleanliness, and people four stars. I would give my meal that I had a one star. I want a refund.

The other night that we went, we had a wonderful time with a wonderful waitress. We went tonight, and experienced a very bad waitress with a poor attitude and poor waitressing skills. The manager was contacted, and she was good enough to adjust my bill accordingly for the poor service. However, Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat with great food at reasonable prices. I would have to say that generally most of the staff is very friendly and helpful.
