The Bolton Arms Downholme

Went for Sunday lunch. I had roast lamb, Yorkshire pudding, veg. The portions were good and the lamb was very well cooked, and tasty. My wife had a vegetarian lasagne which she said was also very good. The service was polite and efficient, and it was very good value for money. The pub is set in a lovely area and we would certainly go back.

Stayed a night over on our journey and we loved it here. We rang ahead because we were worried that we wouldn’t make it in time for dinner, they went to extra mile to reserve a table ahead for us (on a very busy night!). Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff were kind and attentive. Our room was comfortable and clean, good coffee making facilities. And the breakfast was delicious!
