Nov 2023- The vodka slice is out of the world. No comparison at all. It's made of fresh mozzarella and creamy vodka sauce. You can't go wrong with the cheese slices here. They're perfect! July 2023 - Good pizza slices!!! Loved the cheese slice but the grandma slice was also good and a little different than cheese. I like sauce in my slice so I didn't like Margherita slice as much as I enjoyed Cheese and Grandma slices. Good amount of sauce in the Cheese slice. The guy making pizza was from Sicily, Italy and very friendly to talk to. Really enjoyed sitting there and having the slices. Good atmosphere as well!!

Brilliant pizza (thin crust but soft and chewy base) with low prices ($3 for plain, $4 for regular and $5 for special slices) in a pizza restaurant setting. Strongly recommend. They also have make your own pizza, wine, beer and sodas, dessert ($8 though), ample seating and a nice ambience. I loved both the plain and pepperoni slices I got. It tasted really good and you could eat like a typical New Yorker by folding it without cracking.

This place is like the ultimate place to go for late night pizza but even when you walk by it just smells like delicious garlic and cheese and everything else. I recommend trying out any of their slices. There are delicious they come out warm and they are in the price of your side I would say that’s a bit of the devil, considering the price of a slice, but they really are so yummy and just like the perfect place to enjoy.

My father and I were in the city for 1 day and was Craving pizza. We made a perfect choice by eating at Libretto's pizza restaurant. The pizza and feta salad was so delicious and we had Great service too. The waitress was very kind and they made sure everything was perfect for my veteran father and I. Best NYC pizza!! Thank you!!

Medium thin crispy chewy crust with good flavor. Good coverage of cheese and sauce. (Properly) well cooked cheese, tasty, flavorful sauce. Doesn't taste like Italian seasoning, but the flavor is very, very good. $3.45 is more than I like to spend for pizza, but I'll still give it a rating of 95.

Dropped by for a fresh pepronni slice. The guys are friendly and happy to serve you. I'd go for whichever looks the freshest. I also tried the tiramisu; really great!

At $3.45 for a cheese slice, it's quite pricey, even for this neighborhood and nyc in general ( $3 at Garlic and $2.75 at most others). That said though, it's a quality classic NYC style cheese slice and definitely distinguishable from the $1-2 pizza slices around the city that use cheaper sauces and cheeses. The dough is perfect in its pillowy yet crispy balance - if you're into pizza crusts, you know what I mean. The tomato sauce is more on the salty side, can barely taste the tinge of sweetness, so take note if you prefer sweeter sauces. Good amount of cheese on the slice. Would come back if I were hungry and didn't want to walk any further. I have to say though, compared to Garlic pizza on 2nd Ave or Lunettas on 20th street, this sauce lacks complexity of flavor. This all based on the classic cheese slice- not comparing the topping slices because that's definitely more variables and subject to all sorts of preferences and combinations.

We feel this little place is quite simply some of the greatest food available in Manhattan, without the pretense of dressing up, coat rooms, ten different pieces of silverware and all that fine-dining rubbish. The people in here are friendly, to the point, and as helpful as can be. I had the Spaghetti Bolognaise which was to die for, wifey had a grilled chicken salad and stated it's the best one she's ever had. We went back a second time and it was brilliant again. Authentic, small but cozy, brilliant, and properly New York - when we have the chance to go back to visit Manhattan again, there's no question we will go back to Libretto's. 5/5 across the board.

The food was amazing. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. The baked Ziti was also very tasty. My family all enjoyed their meals, which is a first.

Very cute pizzeria with wonderful staff that are so friendly and kind. The pizza was completely fine and you cant beat the price here. It's affordable and delicious. The marinara sauce is a little two sweet for me, but that's just my taste. Great place for a quick bite

Are you hungry? Was the question I answered with, “I could eat a small child.” Libretto’s was between me and my destination and I took the busy lunchtime line to be a good sign. I wasn’t disappointed. Like a well oiled machine the friendly staff were cranking out amazing New York slices one after the other. For less than $20 we found ourselves with 4 slices and two drinks sitting at a table less than 5 minutes after walking in. Much of the banter between customers and staff was familiar like old friends or distant relatives. Customers complimenting the staff on the consistency of the great food while getting up for more slices made for a friendly dialogue with the efficient staff that seemed to almost add something flavorful to the already impressive pizza. The sausage, pepperoni, and peppers were lavishly spread over thick rich mozzarella. Pulling the slices away from your mouth while still connected by a rope of melted cheese is always a great sign. High quality ingredients prepared by a skilled staff made this lunchtime something to write about. Thank you Libretto’s!

Decent NY pizza establishment in the tradition of this city: fast and efficient service, low prices, filling slice. It's not pretending to be a place you bring a date and get table service, and that's just fine. For a quick bite this place is comfortable and clean, plus the staff were friendly.
